Year in Review - October to December 2014

On to the home stretch of 2014 favorites with today being October through December's cards.

 

I remember when skewed panels made my palms go sweaty and my stress levels to skyrocket.  Happy to say that is not the case any more :) 

 

Love these poinsettias and yummy colour combination Julee chose for a Viva la Verve sketch.

 

I love white on white cards and was thrilled with my 3D vellum tree.

 

I am not much of a CAS girl, so this card was a big accomplishment for me, and it was wonderful to have so many people commented on it.

 

Simply adore the new Pink Power set by Verve.  This ribbon die is fabulous and it was fun going pretty in pink on this card.

 

Soft colours and a heartfelt sentiment to be able to send someone.

 

Another masculine card in the line up.

 

Great fall colours and this big butterfly make such a statement.

 

Not a colour combination I use often, but loving it and of course, the fabulous Verve flowers.

Year In Review - July to September 2014

Welcome to Day 3 of my Year in Review.  This post is shorter than my previous two as it was summer time and I started my part time job so crafting time took a hit!

 

I think this is my absolute favorite card of 2014.

 

Not colours I use often but love this card.

 

Love making wedding cards.

 

This is such a fun colour combo and the flower and butterfly image are so fun.

 

Love these papers and this verse!

 

Absolutely love this colour combination.

Mojo Monday #378

Hard to believe this is the last Mojo Monday sketch of 2014!  Another fifty two wonderful sketches behind us and the next fifty to on their way! 

Adore this sketch, and will be using it again for sure - thanks, Julee!  Banners are so fun to use on cards and a great way to use of scraps.  That being said, I didn't use scraps for my banners but rather a new MME paper pad I  bought for making Valentine's Day cards called Lost and Found Heirloom.  I love making Valentine's day cards because heart shapes have always been a favorite of mine, plus I truly do enjoy showing others I care.  Needless to say, this card was great fun to make!

The sentiments are from Love Notes, the pops of red for colour, and the silver accents for a bit of sparkle and shine.  I'll be giving this to my daughter with a little gift of some sort when I see she needs a little encouragement during her next semester at school which will be very heavy academically.

Year In Review - April to June 2014

Back with Day 2 of my "year in review".  Today's cards cover April through June.

 

This card was cased from Pinterest. It is quick and easy to make and is always a big hit at any bridal shower I go to.

 

Love this unique layout (it was a Mojo Monday one) and I adore this colour combination along with the sentiment and of course, the butterfly :) 

 

Flowers and butterflies, oh my!

 

Made this card for a friend's DIL who was graduating from university, whose favorite colour is purple and who loves bling.

 

I adore this verse and it pairs so nicely with Verve's Strong Anchor set!!

 

Another masculine card that was just too much fun to make.

 

More MME papers and I really liked the double hearts.

 

LOVE this sentiment - one I strive to do in my own life! 

 

Loud and bold.  Out of my norm, but love it.

 

I am on a roll with masculine cards.  My hubby's Father's Day card.

 

 

I adore this verse - as well as there rest of Proverbs 31!  Great papers and colour combination to work with too.

 

Back to the masculine cards.  The nautical theme was a big one this quarter!

 

My mom's Mother's Day card.

 

Jen's Deconstructed Sketch was so unique I just had to try it.  Loved the mix of papers and satisfaction of having conquered the sketch LOL!

Year In Review - January - March 2014

Spending time with family and friends over the Christmas Holidays so I am posting my "year in review" cards for 2014.  Here are my favorites from January through March. 

I love flowers and these Verve flowers with matching dies are always fun to use.  Love the mixed font in this sentiment too.

Oh how I love this sentiment.  It is so me and and those Loopy Bloom dies are always so fun to use.

Masculine cards can be a challenge at times, but I had so much fun making this card.  Love the papers and the sketch was a perfect fit. 

 

 

Love these MME papers (okay, I love just about everything MME LOL), and was happy to be able to master this sketch.

 

Ah yes....Valentine's Day cards.  LOVE making them!  Hearts are a favorite of mine and yes, more MME papers to make me happy.

 

Love my decaf, non-fat, lattes from Starbucks and definitely had them in mind when I made this card.  If memory serves me correctly, I got in the car and drove to get one after I made this card LOL!



This MME line is one of my all time favorites!  Love the soft colours and the romantic feel to this card.



Remember seeing the sketch for this card and thinking I was in big doo-doo.  Then I came up with the concept of waves for the horizontal panels and it was full steam ahead thereafter.


My favorite "U" die front and center - love it (no pun intended)!



Another of my favorite MME lines, with the coffee sleeves being made from actual Starbuck's coffee sleeves.

Merry Christmas

Wishing each and every one of you a blessed Christmas as you celebrate the birth of Christ with family and friends.  Hoping you can enjoy some down time amid all the festivities, and if all goes well, even some crafty time.

Mojo Monday #377

I needed one more Christmas card for a cookie delivery to a neighbour and took advantage of this fun sketch to create it.

Adore this snowflake paper and the non-traditional colours you can use.  Sneaking in one last snowflake, especially since we will only have the liquid version on Christmas Day this year. Not sure about pink snowflakes, but it sure was fun using one lol :)

The sentiment is from Peace on Earth and I coloured the heart to make it stand out because so much of Christmas for me is spending time with loved ones.
