The second Verve release challenge was to make a card with this sketch. I don't know why, but this sketch gave me grief. In all honesty, I think I'm in a post Olympic funk - ugh! Nothing seems to be coming together for me without a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
I started things off with a piece of DP and went from there. Love this sentiment by Verve and tried my hardest to make this an all Verve card, but I didn't have the right Verve flower image to do so - bummer. So, out came SU's Happy Harmony set. The flower filled the sentiment panel up wonderfully, and most importantly it filled the top right side of the sentiment panel very nicely. Of course, where there are flowers, there have to be butterflies so out came my new SU butterfly die. I added a border along the bottom with the new SU border punch, put some soft green half pearls on the butterfly and tied it all together (no pun intended) with some pink, satin ribbon. Off to work on a tag next.
Thanks for popping in. Have a blessed day :D

I think that post-Olympic funk is all in your head, lol. I don't think I'm going to make it to this sketch. :( I have book club tomorrow evening, which means that I won't be home to do any stamping tomorrow. But I wouldn't trade book club. Plus, I'm picking the book for this next month. :)
