This week's retro kitchen pictures threw me for a loop! I'm definitely a warm neutrals type of gal so I had to swallow hard to work with these inspiration pictures LOL!
After trying all the combos out, I finally settled on this one because of the green - my favorite colour. I decided to go with Wild Wasabi as it looked fabulous against the black and white.
The butterfly on the sketch just made me have to use my SU butterfly die which is now my newest addiction. Actually I blissfully used my two favorite addictions on this card: the butterfly die and my Swiss Dots embossing folder - be still my heart LOL!
A few half pearls on the butterfly, some bling under the sentiment, a splash of polka dotted ribbon and I have finally caught up on all the March Verve sketch/inspiration challenges - yeah!! None to soon either, because it is Friday and Amber will have our final March sketch and inspiration pictures for us today! Can't wait to go see what she has come up with.
Wishing you a fabulous weekend with some stamping time thrown in :D
What's In It?
Paper: Basic Black, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, SU Sizzix Butterfly Die, Polka Dotted Ribbon, Half Pearls, Bling, Dimensionals
WOW- what a bold statement: beautiful card. I have yet to do this one. I love the sketch too though!
ReplyDeleteYou ROCKED it girl, this is fabulous!! I love the colors you used Marisa, and the black makes it really pop! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
ReplyDeleteLove these colours together! Very pretty card
ReplyDeleteOh these colors are so cool! Great butterflies layered!
ReplyDeleteWOw, love the bold colour combo! Fabulous use of the layout too :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous!! This is one awesome card!
ReplyDeleteEek!!! I love how this turned out! You absolutely ROCKED this sketch! That giant butterfly was perfect for that middle panel. And I love the little pearls that echo the swiss dots.
ReplyDeleteWe survived our Spring Musical this morning! They did sooooo well and were so stinkin' cute! Even most most squirelly squirrels did well sitting or standing and performing. I wish we could do these kinds of things more often... But alas, there is too much academic learning to do. Five more days until Spring Break!
Awesome, Marisa!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely fabulous! Love the butterfly!
ReplyDeleteOh this is fabulous!! You rocked the green!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is such a stunning card!! Love the polka dotted ribbon that echoes your dotted swiss BG and the pearl dots on the butterfly! I so hated to see Wild Wasabi be a limited color...it's one of my fave greens!
ReplyDeletewow!! The green really pops!!! I was so drawn to this picture too :) Isn't that butterfly die fun? Although sometimes I go crazy with which size and then mixing papers...too many choices!! Oh, I looked up my colour combo site and it's probably the one you had too...not there anymore. I googled other ones, but it seems like everyone had that one. One other did come up, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to generate a colour combo...it was only letting me make them. Will have to look at it again. I googled "stampin up color combos"
ReplyDeleteOoooohhh....love this! Your butterflies are gorgeous and I do love those swiss dots!
