Wow, Stacey came up with some really bright colours this week LOL! Took a bit of doing to wrap my mind around them, but then I realized tulips come in these colours and I love tulips, so going with flowers was the natural choice :D
Once again Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch came to the rescue. She has the most wonderful sketches and I keep coming back to them time and time again for these Curtain Call colour challenges. Thank you Karen!
If you are thinking my Green Galore is a bit bright you are right LOL! I could have sworn I had a piece of it in my possession, but couldn't find it for the life of me so I used this bright green instead -- and bright it is!! I felt like I was walking through the famous tulip garden in Holland (think it was called Kokenhoff) when I made this card so I wanted to recreate that memory by using tulips. The only problem was my tulip images were all too large for the main circle, so I decided to use one of my favorite Verve sets Petals and Stems instead.
After playing with the colours I finally settled on their arrangement and added the white strips to help ground things and separate the bright colours a bit. My initial thought for the small circle was to use a butterfly, but it just wasn't working so I ended up using the bow of the ribbon in its place. The card is definitely a bright one, but I quite like it :D

Strawberries... Yum! I tried to grow those at my previous home, but the bugs always got to them before I could. So frustrating! Now I just get them at the little side of the road stands. :)
