Bright Coloured Living Room Wake Up Call

This month, Amber is taking us to the Living Room for our inspiration pictures in the Verve Challenge Forum.  I must say she picked some bright coloured living rooms this week!  They definitely helped wake me up this morning LOL!  I chose to go with this living room because I thought green, turquoise, white and black would be a colour combo I could work with.  It wasn't as easy as it looked, but I think I finally managed to conquer it and the sketch.

I wasn't totally awake today while making this card due to a family trip to Vancouver Island to visit my in-laws for Easter.  I always forget how much my kids toss and turn at night and sharing a bed with one of them is never conducive to a good night's sleep.  Multiply that by three nights and you have one tired out mommy LOL!   Thus, my CAS (clean and simple) card today.  I chose turquoise and some lime green card stock, punched out some butterflies and added a half pearl to each one.  Some polka dotted ribbon, two dew drops in the left corner and I called it a card.  Hopefully another good night's sleep will put me in a more creative mood tomorrow :D

Hope you had a blessed Easter weekend!  Enjoy your short week!

  1. Great job with the sketch and you worked with those colours so nicely Marisa. This tired mommy completely understands the need to CAS.

  4. We always liked to "camp" out when we were little in sleeping bags on the floor ;) I see many naps in your week :) We had a lovely and peaceful Easter, it's just never long enough. I love the kitchen you chose...I wanted to use it too...that green just pops!! But I had to rush to make my card as Amber sent it late Thursday...so I was up late and went with the red room. But I so love these colours :)

  11. Well, if I wasn't awake before, I am now!! Those are some bright, cheery, and did I mention bright, colors! I'm still panicing a little over Amber's color choices for us from last week. I'm leaning toward the purple room. I love the little flowered butterflies on here, by the way. And the little black pearl... So cute!
