Thank You Mrs. C
Loved the colours of this week's Colour Throwdown #98 and decided to combine them with the Clean and Simple Fall To Layout #95. This is such a fabulous sketch I had to use it even though it was from last week. As you can tell, I wasn't paying close attention to the layout because I stamped the flower where the sentiment was supposed to be! So....I just switched the flower and sentiment images on the sketch and I was good to go :) Had to use Pretty in Pink in lieu of Blush Blossom in the colour combo, so I'm breaking rules all over the place with this card LOL!
Despite my apparent inability to adhere to sketch and colour challenge parameters, I really like this clean and simple card. It will be going to one of my daughter's teachers who has made this year at school both challenging and fun for not only herself but the rest of the class too. She is not the "froo froo" type so I think this CAS card will be perfect for her.
This is my last "while the kids are in school" card because they get out today. I have no clue how often I will be able to post over the summer, but one thing I do know is you can count on a card every Sunday for the Curtain Call colour challenges. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess, though I do hope to post a couple additional times each week. We'll just have to see how things go. I treasure having my kids all to myself in the summer (I don't do any daycare over the summer) and they are growing up so quickly that I want to spend as much time with them as I can, especially since they still like spending time with me (just don' task me this question at the end of summer when the "I'm bored" statements become far too frequent LOL!).
Have a fabulous rest of the week and I hope to be back soon :)

ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! Love all that white space and how your flower just pops!
ReplyDeleteEh, color combos and sketches are more like guidelines than rules, lol. I love how this turned out! So crisp and clean with all that white space. It really makes the flower pop and become what the eye is drawn to.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your last day, my friend! I'll miss seeing you around as frequently. But I'll definitely be on here every Sunday to see what treat you post!!
What a wonderful card, so crisp and clean...love it!
ReplyDeleteOh this is pretty Marisa, love how you've used the colors!
ReplyDeleteLast day for us here too....I'm thinking of building an "I'm bored" box for each of the kids with little things that can go and do when I hear those dreaded 2 words!
Classy and clean! Oh I like the soft pink against the white.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer girlie, they are only young once. That is what I keep telling myself, so far we have been busy galore and I have had to force myself to stamp. ACK... never thought I would say that. hee hee Hugs...
Love this, Marisa! Your floral stamped cards are always so beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Marisa.. I love these colors. I hope your summer is full of fun. We got the first Warriors book and my son is enthralled... Thank you so much. Lucky for you that you have the summer off..
ReplyDeleteso sweet, Marisa...I'm sure she loved it :) I had a few home made cards from the kids...my parents weren't as crafty :) I hope you do sneak a few moments to make cards :) I'm looking forward to "playing" more and maybe trying some new challenges out there...it can be overwhelming so I don't like to tie myself down and think I need to do them all...of course, I'll never give up Viva La Verve!! LOL
