Inkspired Sweet Sunday Sketch

I was a very lucky lady this past weekend, as I got to stamp quite a bit and consequently get to post a lot this week :)  Not a pattern I expect to be able to continue as we get deeper in to summer, but one I definitely enjoyed this weekend!

I haven't played along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for some time and it was great to get back to it.  I paired her wonderful sketch with this week's Ikspirations Colour Challenge because I just loved the mix of colours.  I had to substitute Rose Red for Rich Razzleberry, but it worked out quite nicely.  Definitely a colour combo to tuck away for future use!

I had forgotten how much I like Old Olive and with a green in the mix I decided to go with grass and butterrflies.  I did a very poor job with my border punch because I don't have the corner punch to go with it just yet so just pretend it is all nicey, nicey. The horizontal panel was crimped for some dimension and texture, and some black half pearls were the perfect finishing touch.

Have to get going on the basement clean up so I'll be back on Saturday with my Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps card for the week.  Have a fabulous rest of the week!

  1. Oh, this is so cute, Marisa! I love how the crimped green border complements the stamped grass. I must add that border punch to my collection soon! It looks fabulous in kraft!

  6. This is quite lovely and serene, Marisa! Who knew a few blades of grass and some colorful butterflies could look so good. The framing and corrugated detailing are fabulous! Lovely card!

  7. Oh more butterflies! I love Old Olive too!

Thank you for your lovely comments of support. This remodel has me turned upside down! The contractors will be here tomorrow AND Sunday getting all the drywall taped, mudded, sanded and textured for the cabinet install on Monday. Sigh. The end IS in sight and it is so worth it. Big hugs,
