Curtain Call Act 47
Absolutely love the colours Stacey chose this week. Lovely neutrals with a pop of Artichoke. Happy sigh...LOL!
I combined the colours with this week's CAS sketch FTL107 and cheated by using the sketch as my card! I just love this tree image and will use any excuse to use it LOL! It was a bit of a challenge inking the image with my Stamping Spots since I don't have markers, so it isn't as perfect as I'd like it, but it will have to do :) Squeezed in some Kraft, oops I mean Crumb Cake, via the button and twine and switched the sentiment to the other side. A simple card, but I quite like it.
Back tomorrow with another card - so fun to be able to say and do that again :)
What's In It?
Stamps: (SU) Thoughts And Prayers
Paper: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Martha Stewart Border Punch, Button, Twine, Glue Dot
Great use of the colors, Marisa!! You are BRAVE to try to color such an intricate image with your SPOTS???? Wow, I'd have given up on that in no time flat. Kudos for your perseverance--and your lovely card as a result :)
ReplyDeletelove that tree image...so perfect for a CAS card :) Love the little detail of a button too :) {swoon!} Hmmm....don't see things slowing down at work anytime soon...lots of paperwork due (schedules and overviews) and still setting up routines...but it will all be worth it around Christmas when the class should run well (fingers crossed!!)....soooooo glad your stamps arrived...25 days is WAYYYYY too long...that's the longest I've heard of. Can't wait to see what you make with your new flowers :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Marisa!! I too, love that tree stamp, I need to get it out!!! Love your use of the color challenge this week in combo with the sketch!!! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteWhen a gift is handed to you, you don't look in the other direction (lol) {Re: the sketch}. How perfect was it that you had that exact stamp? You've done a wonderful job with the color challenge and we all know how much you LOVE green! (Me too!) And gotta love those border punches!!
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity and serenity of this card. That is one beautiful tree, and you must have been very patient to ink it up so perfectly! The gothic arch borders make a wonderful frame, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card! Love that border punch and the contrast! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome CAS and I like the single button.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card Marissa.. There is something about trees that I love.. I think it reminds me of the Tree of Life at Walt Disney World. We had such a fun trip there.. Great job.. So glad you are getting to stamp.
ReplyDeleteSo clean, simple, and beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Marisa, I about fell off my chair just now when I saw your card because that is exactly what I was thinking of doing! I printed off that sketch Sunday, got out that stamp set and even had those Curtain Call colors out! And that's all the further I've gotten with it this week! Absolutely love this and may just copy yours now! LOL :)
