Curtain Call Joy
It seems like forever since I've had a chance to play along with the Curtain Call and this week I put an end to it as I have always loved Stacey's colour combinations and this one is no exception.
Still had a few hand delivery Christmas cards to get done and this fit the bill fabulously. A wonderful non-traditional colour combination that is beyond gorgeous together :)
I combined this week's colours with this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch. I started off using snowflakes for the circles, but then wanted to use my new Verve snowflake in the background so that would have been way too many snowflakes LOL! So, I used my tab punch and created three "joy" tabs. I took the lead from my blog buddy Maureen's bling decorating skills and added some bling to each tab as well as a snowflake to go on top of each ribbon. Still looked a bit plain to me so I added a punched snowflake with a button to the top left corner and was much happier with it. This will go to the wonderful lady who did so much work with the kids and held multiple rehearsals with different age groups for our church's Children's Christmas performance yesterday. It was a simply fabulously "old fashioned family Christmas concert" and every age group performing did an amazing job. Can't think of a better way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, that's for sure :)
Thanks for joining me today and hold on to your hats, only five more sleeps until Christmas, or four in our case as we celebrate on Christmas Eve :) Back on Wednesday with my Color Dare card.
What's In It?

Such a wonderful gift for the hard working lady at church. I agree, that is a lovely color combo. I do notice your tags are not angled. LOL Just had to throw that in. Very pretty, Marisa. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Love that layout! It's very striking, and I'm glad you chose the tag shape in place of snowflakes. It just looks 'right'.

Wishing you and your family a fabulous Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year!!! Thank you for being such a sweet blogging friend!!! Big hugs ~S~
So pretty! A long long time ago we used to sing a song in Sunday School that started : I've got the joy, joy, joy ,joy down in my heart. That's what I thought of when I saw this :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the Joy, Joy, Joy!
ReplyDeleteGreat design and fab job with the colors! What rich, earthy tones and I think your card has the perfect amount of bling! I think that bling addition is a slow process, you don't want to add too much too soon as it confuses the reader's brain. What day is today?
