Love Times Three
Just loved the sketch Verve Diva Charmaine posted for this week's sketch challenge. Such a fun sketch with a myriad of shapes you can use in lieu of the oval if you want to. I opted to go with my lacy square nesties.
I pulled out some fun K and Company DP I found at Michael's. Unfortunately the row of hearts that is upright ended up begin covered up by the ribbon so you get the look at the upside down row LOL!
I used my scalloped heart nesties die to punch out a heart in Red Rose, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink and placed them on the diagonal with the last one getting a touch of bling. I just "love" (no pun intended) the script of this Rubber Soul stamp as well as it's small size. It was the perfect fit for that empty bottom corner :)
In keeping with my recent crimper phase, I decided to use it on the horizontal panel for a bit of dimension and added some white ribbon to finish things off. I am thrilled with how this turned out and now just have to decide who to give it to :)
Have a fabulous day and thanks for sharing a bit of yours with me!
What's In It?
Stamps: Rubber Soul
Paper: Red Rose, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, K & Company DP
Ink: Black
Accessories: Scalloped Heart and Lacy Square Nesties, Crimper, 3/8" White Grosgrain Ribbon, Bling, Dimensionals
U can see why you are thrilled - this is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteOh, FABULOUS Valentine card, Marisa. I just LOVE red, pink, and white. So pretty and crisp! That crimped strip adds so much interest. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your clean style of stamping and this card is just beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteI love this! Your colors are so pleasing and the little bit of bling on one heart is so special. All the elements come together perfectly!
ReplyDeletelove the 3 hearts together...made me think you might have been thinking of your family :) You are rockin' the bling lately!! Keep it going!! Yup, it's cold today so I have all my winter gear...it's only 15 minutes, but always feels like an hour when you're cold (and I don't do cold well! lol). But then it's done for the week :) I think they call for snow here WEds. too, but then showers on Thursday...lol...stay warm too :)
ReplyDeleteAwww... Cute Valentine.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Deja vu! I am playing in the FS304 challenge to honor YOU, my dear, and one of the cards (yes, I've done two for you!!) I am CASEing is called LSC162 Times Three, and today's post of yours is called .....Times Three. Weird, huh? It means that I am thinking of you, I suppose! Love your Valentine today. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous Marisa! I made a 'cute' valentine's card this week but you've inspired me to dig out these papers and make something a little more sophisticated! xx
ReplyDeleteThose hearts are super cute! Love the three gems you added, they are just perfect. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I just got those MFT heart dies for Christmas and I LOVE them...especially this ruffled one!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Valentine!! I had to do some major digging as the EF you asked me about seems to be a rarity. I did find one on ebay and the bid is only a little over a dollar. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/SIZZiX-ARGYLE-2-Lge-A2-Embossing-Folder-Fit-Cuttlebug-/160528470470?pt=US_Die_Cutting_Machines_Dies&hash=item25603e11c6
ReplyDeleteIt is by Sizzix and is called argyle.
Gorgeous hearts and blend of colors!! It's okay to have hearts "up and down" isn't that what happens in real life??!! Snow at my house and sleet on its' way. Went in to work for a few hours and then came home. We don't have the equipment here in Charlotte to deal with this. Grew up around Chicago, so it's always interesting to see how things close here with the slightest weather. We're cold {for us}... I'm sure you are colder!! Yikes... certainly don't miss that!!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Marisa!
ReplyDeleteI really love the three hearts layered on top of each other, fun idea!
