I used some wonderful MME Stella Rose DP and of course, some of the stamps from Verve's recent release. Just love this scalloped frame and graph paper, not to mention the fabulous flower die...happy sigh... :)
I made this card for my BIL and SIL who's cabin we stayed at for three days while on vacation in Alberta. It is actually more for my SIL as I think I'll make a separate one for my BIL since he actually managed to burned my little energizer bunny sun out, and that is NOT easy to do LOL!

Our water main issues continue...whatever could go wrong has - couldn't split the pipe as it wasn't straight but routed around the furnace, water valve on the city shut off popped off so the 5 x 10 foot hold filled with water and the city had to be called to turn off the water for the neighbourhood so they could pump out the water from the hold and put the valve back on. Adult complex across the street had multiple members come to complain they never got told about it and the poor guys working on it were beyond frazzled. Thankfully, that part of the problem was fixed in half an hour. Hopefully (fingers and toes crossed) they will have the rerouted water pipe into the house inserted and everything completed by Saturday. What a week it has been! Thank heavens for the fabulous weather!!

ReplyDeleteoh, I feel your pain!! I could understand if it was an old house in an old subdivision..but only 11 years!! Not acceptable! Oh, wow, this sketch is wild!! Good for you for flipping it...I struggle with certain sketches so usually bypass...hard when you're on the DT, though, eh? Off to my SU demonstrator's open house...I have my eye on that sweet little Canadian flag in the mini catalogue :) Hope swimming was a good destressor today :)

What a bunch of water pipe headaches! Seriously, that is the kind of experience we've always had with our house, too. NOTHING seems easy. It's always an issue to fix something. Good luck to you on that. :)

LOVE how this turned out! Sometimes turning a sketch horizontally or vertically is all it takes. That rounded scalloped square may be calling my name after seeing you use it several times! I love how you popped it up around the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteUgh, water main issues. We had one bust in front of our house a few years ago. No fun! We've had the plumber here this last week as well fixing our kitchen sink. We lost all of our hot water pressure. It made washing dishes a pain (we don't have a dishwasher). Now we have a new faucet, and amazing water pressure!!
