Getting Some Java Joy
Haven't played with this wonderful Better With You coffee set from Verve for some time so decided to pull it out and use it on this week's sketch. Was great fun making a square card again too. Forget how much I enjoy making them.
I didn't colour the coffee cup as I am not a colourer (not a proper word I'm sure but you know what I mean LOL!) so I pulled in the green by paper piecing the heart. VersaMarked the coffee ring stamp to create the background and finished things off with some fun polka dotted ribbon.
Now I'm craving a tall, non-fat decaf latte so may just have to jump in the car and head to Starbucks to get my fill of java joy LOL!
Have a great day!
What's In It?
Stamps: Better With You (Verve)
Paper: Early Espresso, Mellow Moss, Tan, Cream Linen
Ink: Black, VersaMark
Accessories: Scalloped Square, Scalloped Circle and Circle Nesties, Crimper, Brown Half Pearls, Ribbon, Dimensionals
You don't need to be a colourist with the lovely projects you come up with Marisa! This card proves it! xxx
ReplyDeleteLOL @ not being a colourer ;) We need to get together and play with copics...fun times! Must do that soon!
ReplyDeleteI forgot about this set too! Love that coffee cup! Your card turned out wonderfully! I love square cards too!!!
Oh I adore coffee cards! :)
ReplyDeleteoh, this is making me crave coffee too! I make a little pot in my class in the morning...incentive to get to work early ;) The green heart is the perfect accent :) SB was asking for BC stories last month so I sent ours in and they wanted to use it as part of their 25 year video celebration, but we had to be in Vancouver for the taping...no such luck :( That would have been cool! Sunshine here, hope it stays! I'm ready for summer!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Those scalloped squares are about the color of my coffee, the way I like it: lots o' cream!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Loves me some Java Joy!! Hugs to you my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Marisa: I found your lovely blog through Splitcoast Stampers where I am very new and very frustrated ...LOL. I can't figure it out to save my poor life.
ReplyDeleteI saw that you are a Christian crafter, and I wanted to invite you to check out my little challenge blog. It's called Word Art Wednesday, and we offer free word art/scripture files each Wednesday with a new challenge, great prizes, fun and fellowship. This week is a double prize week. I would just LOVE to have you check us out, and participate in our challenges. It's a small Christian challenge blog, and YOU would be such a tremendous addition to our little group of participants. I'd love to see more of your lovely work.
Have a great week!
Blessings,
