Thinking Of You Friend
This is the third Verve sketch for August and my last card to complete all the August sketches which qualifies me for the draw to win $100 of Verve Stamps :) Hello!
The background paper is a bit wild for me, but I managed to cover most of it up :) I cut one of the PTI doily dies in half so I could mat the sentiment panel on both sides. I then cased Diva Maureen's addition of a second, sentiment tab which compliments the focal sentiment on her card. Such a great way to add a little something to a card.
Now I just have to wait and see who the lucky winner will be this month. One of these times I hope it will be me! Until then, I can't complain too loudly (okay....I can but I won't LOL) it's a great way to get four or five cards made a month!
Thanks for popping by today ((hugs))
What's In It?
Stamps: All Year Cheer (Stampin' Up), Text Notes (Verve)

ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Marisa. The ribbon is such a pretty color...downright yummy.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you'll come out a winner.
Great ribbon, lovely paper, and super colors! This is really pretty. I think that wild paper is great. Hope you win the prize Marisa - I would love to see what you would do with $100 in new stuff!!! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteOh happy sigh! I adore your yello, gray and kraft color combination. So fresh and modern--especially with that FAB background paper! The kraft doily is gorgi too! All 'round stunner, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI am really loving this color combo! Perfect bow and sweet little yellow twine on the button...great details on the beauty! I just read on Vicki's blog you were picking up your new Verve soon. Got mine yesterday and it's even better when it's in your hands! I was really happy to see the simple little cross stitch border for faux stitching...made me do the happy dance! :-) Great substitute when my sewing machine is being temperamental!
ReplyDeleteGood to be back - I have missed your fun cards~ Your blog looks all Fallish now, did you change the color scheme? I know that Fall is your favorite time of year~ :)
ReplyDeleteLove these colors! The bow and doily look fabulous on this card! Your surprise is coming...just a little slower than planned....trip to the post office didn't work as quickly as I planned! It will be worth the wait...I think any who!!
ReplyDeleteLove your color scheme - I hope you'll link up again at 52 Car Pickup this week!

This is pretty Marisa. I like the doily behind the sentiment layer. Pretty colours too.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get all the sketches done for August -I was just happy to have gotten all the challenges done for the anniversary release. I plan to change that for Sept though;)
