Let The Snowflakes Begin
Diva Tosh brings us Verve's fourth sketch of the month and it was a fun one to play with. I cheated just a bit by omitting the split panel and using a bigger circle.
This yummy MME paper was my starting point. Love the touch of glitter on the leaves. It's there, honest, just had a hard time capturing it on camera.
Carried the glitter theme over to the snowflake and used a lot of white accents - most likely due to a subconscious and very direct correlation with the colour of snow lol! The card is fairly flat, so think I can get away with an easy mailing too :)
Oh, and for the record, the snowflakes in the title refer to the kind on my cards, not the kind that fall on the ground LOL!
What's In It?
Stamps: Memory Box
Paper: I Believe (MME), Night of Navy, Burgundy, Sparkly Silver
Ink: Black, VersaMark
Accessories: Snowflake Die (The Cat's Pajamas), Circle Nesties, Scalloped Border Punch (Stampin' Up), Crimper, Button, Silver Twine, Glue Dot, Dimensionals
Adorable and well done! The layout is awesome too! :)

ReplyDeleteLOL want some of my snow??? I'll share....I'm nice like that ;)
now that is one beautiful glittery snowflake! The kids had a ball in the snow ( no pun intended) but it's pretty much gone now...looks like it will be nice for the pumpkin patch tomorrow :) Tony changed my tires last night to save me from going in early and dropping my car off at Kal Tire :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snowflake!
ReplyDeleteLove that glittery snowflake! I really hope we get some real snow this year. We barely got any last year, and we had one of the worst years for seasonal allergies due to a warmer winter. :(
ReplyDeleteSimply Gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeletelove the glittered snowflake!!!!
tfs:)
Oooo...lovin' the sparkly flake!! And the crimped banners...clever!! Love how you added the sweet sentiment too!! But I hafta say....cheater, cheater pumpkin eater. That's for not splitting the panels...bwahahahahaha Next sketch I'm tilting the panels...just sayin'....
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather see a glittery snowflake on a card than on the ground! Love this festive card!
ReplyDeleteAs pretty as that MME paper is (LOVE it!), I think that diecut snowflake steals the snow here. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteMarisa, this is beautiful! Great colors, sparkle, die cuts, and sentiment. What a great card! Hugz!!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...I see the leaves are retired and the flakes are on board - lol! I love the paper flakes...the real ones-not so much! Beautiful card using Tosh's sketch!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Marisa! So you're finally moving to Christmas? You know, they are my favorite cards.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card! Your cards are all so crisp and clean, love them.
ReplyDeleteGreat snowflake and I like this sketch. Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how you dress them up or color them, your snowflakes always enhance your cards wonderfully! I have to say though, that sparkle is my favorite way to dress up!
