Mojo Monday #270
It's the first Monday of the month so that means contest week over on the Mojo Monday Blog. Carol has provided this week's sketch and it's a fun one to work with.
Still on a Christmas card roll here and thoroughly enjoying my I Believe MME Christmas paper pack. Had to be a bit selective on cutting this pattern to ensure you got to see the cute cardinal in the wreath :) The paper lead to a mix of some non-traditional colours and some more red snowflakes for your viewing pleasure LOL!
Sorry about the skewed tag...I forgot to glue it down and it slipped during the photo shoot and I didn't catch it in time to retake a photo with good lighting. Needless to say, it is now glued down.
You can check out all the challenge details over on the Mojo Monday blog and also get a chance to view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples! Should you wish more details on their cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.
The Christmas tree went up this weekend along with the house decorations. Much to my surprise, I also have my Christmas cards done as well as all my shopping (don't hate me!). Not quite sure how it all happened or how my prep was any different than last year, but it sure is nice being that far ahead of the game so early in December :) Just have to do some baking to finish things off. Thrilled to be able to fully focus on the birth of Christ and all the joy it brings me. Have a fabulous day and good luck in the contest!
What's In It?

Marissa this is stunning I love the layout and design. The colours are gorgeous. Caroline xxx
ReplyDeleteFor one brief moment I thought you were getting addicted to skewed panels LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove the card and the red snowflakes. I found out this year that the cardinal is associated with Christmas in your part of the world. In the UK and the Netherlands it's the robin that is featured on Christmas cards. I still need to make a lot of Christmas cards but I'm really struggling to get going. My mojo will probably arrive at the end of December, so I can start on next year's cards early LOL.
Way to go on being so organized. I'm going to try to take off Friday to get our shopping done! I love your card...the paper is gorgeous and of course the Verve stamps!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you left that tag skewed - it added a bit more whimsy to the card! LOL! Love that paper and this sketch is wonderful (or your take on it is wonderful which is often the case - your style is jus so great for these sketches). Love the card Marisa - hope you have a wonderful week and that you are close to getting all your Christmas cards done. My goal is to mail them out next weekend. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card Marisa - everything blends together perfectly. I love the button embellishment on the snowflakes! Absolutely fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sylvia xx
Marisa, this is wonderful! Fabulous idea to add the To You! Love that idea!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your tree up too! I am envious that you've finished your shopping! LOL!
Beautiful! LOVE that sentiment!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous ribbon to wrap up this sweet card. I've made all my cards now, just need to mail them...I'm on track with my 2 lists (home/school) so that feels good. My sister just ordered some cards for the wine store so I'll be busy with that in the evenings :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Marisa! Gorgeous card...I love the little banner sentiment you added and the buttoned snowflakes! Great take on this sketch! ;D
ReplyDeleteWonderful, Marisa! Love the cardinal paper and the "to you" banner is a sweet addition!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Marisa! The red snowflakes add the perfect pop. I WISH I was as prepared as you for Christmas. That's always my hope, but too much other stuff has gotten in the way!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful, Marisa! I love your choice in designer paper and how you cut it to showcase it so beautifully! And, I'm shocked that you used snowflakes! LOL! So impressed with your preparedness for Christmas...I wish!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those red snowflakes, Marisa, and that beautiful paper! I think that tag looks kind of jaunty and fun skewed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Marisa! Gorgeous layout.
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes on my card are all dies; the large one is a Sizzix die and the small ones are Marianne Creatables.
xx
Mmmmm, love the card and the multi-sized snowflakes! I don't hate, but I am a wee bit envious that you are ready for the holidays. I think I am on pace now.
ReplyDeleteRub it in, Marisa!!! I'm so far behind on Christmas, I might have to wait until January to celebrate it... ;) LOVE your card, NEED that cute cardinal paper, and I think I even prefer your little tag skewed!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card! thanks for the inspiration

Kay' thinking about the "hate" thing....Christmas shopping done, tree up and all that!! Nah...don't have a lot of hate in me! Love how you used the sketch and the cardinal looks wonderful!!! Actually laid out cards for the last two Verve sketches for last month but, didn't get to finish....thinking I can re-work for this or maybe I'm dreaming!!! I DO think I have enough Crhistmas cards though!

ReplyDeleteI love what this card you've done for this week's MOJO Monday. This paper is so pretty and I'm so glad you were able to cut so the cardinals showed. I love the red snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteWow - good for you to have all your cards and shopping done already. I'm trying. It'll be so wonderful to be able to focus more completely on the reason for this season ......the birth of our Lord and Saviour.
Should of gotten this MME when I could now I can't. This is fun and not much stamping, gotta love those at times.
ReplyDeleteWell done! you are so organised, do you want to finish off my cards and shopping?? another fabulous card, the paper is gorgeous, the little skewed tag adds interest! :)
