Fist and foremost, I want to thank Andrea, one of our DT members, for all her wonderful work at Just Us Girls. With life pulling her in many directions, she has decided it is time to step down for the team. We will miss you, Andrea, and wish you nothing but the best!
With five Saturdays in March, this week is a Wild Card week over at the Just Us Girls blog. Our hostess Maria has chosen the Puzzle Piece Resist technique as our challenge. You can find the SCS tutorial for it here.
I cheated an itsy bitsy bit in that I didn't use white and sponging but rather embossed in white right on to my coloured paper. I also caught a minor "oops" when I die cut my "U" ....see if you can spot what I did :)
The rest of the JUGS team has some wonderful samples to get your inspiration going, so just hop on over to the Just Us Girls blog, and check out what the Design Team has created. Then put your creative genes to work and add your card/project to the challenge post on the JUGS blog for the chance to be selected as Chic of the Week.
It's been a busy and fun Spring Break with the kids - thus the lack of posting - and we will finish up with our Easter dinner on Saturday night. Chef Jeff will be cooking up a storm and sous chef and clean up girl (aka: me LOL) will be right in there with him. Wishing you a blessed Easter weekend and I'll be back on Monday with my Mojo Monday card!
What's In It?
Stamps: French Script (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink (Stampin' Up)
Accessories: Love Die (WPlus9), I Heart U Die Set (A Cut Above by Verve), 5/8" White Satin Ribbon, Dimensional
Ohhhhhhh, DARLIN'! Chef Jeff? {YOU lucky bird! How cute is HE!} Sounds like Easter will be a LOT of fun for sweet lil' you - I SURE hope so! THIS card is super luscious! I would have NEVER guessed you created... uh, BLAZED your own trail here and there - it looks WONDERFUL! I'm SO happy for the inspiration this week! Nothin' thrills the Easter bunny, like folks getting their CRAFT onnnnnnn! Heh Heh xoxo!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you as well, Marisa!
ReplyDeleteI probably would not have seen that oops if you did not say it. ;). Lovely arrangement of everything!

ReplyDeleteGREAT card!!
Glad you all had a wonderful Spring Break together!!!
Chloe goes back to school Tuesday so we have this weekend together :)
Enjoy that Easter dinner together!!!
Beautiful card, Marisa. Love the colors and I DO NOT see the 'oops' in your 'U'. I'm still wondering what it is.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter weekend.
Gorgeous. You know I love the pink/green with the beautiful script.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty with the pink and green and white. I don't see the oops...
ReplyDeleteYup, been there! So pretty though. I love the colors. I usually don't like the big bows, but it really works on this card. Easter Blessings to you and family.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Marisa! Love the card, minor oops and all!
ReplyDeleteI always love white embossed on coloured cardstock :) Enjoy your Easter dinner! We're having ours tomorrow at my sisters. Both sisters who live in town live in my subdivision so it's a close drive!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Marissa.
ReplyDeleteLove your card and the pretty colors, even with the oops ont the U.
I love how the script flows right over the die cut letters. And I took me a bit to spot the oops! Have a wonderful Easter!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Marisa, using my favourite colour combo! I would never have noticed your 'oops' if you hadn't pointed it out, lol!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a chef so I'll be cooking the meal for 10. I do have a great dishwasher called Dave though!
Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!
xx
Happy Easter, Marisa! Love U too upside down or right side up!
ReplyDeleteYes, I've done the minor oops before...no one would know the words were upside down unless...YOU pointed it out!! Love the white on pink....I'm not on cooking duty this WE...feels strange but, I do need a break!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully simple and simply beautiful Marisa! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and elegant. I see your fun U direction - adds character (but I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out). Very sweet card as usual. Sounds like Easter was wonderful at your house. We went to my Sisters (she has all the grandkids - like 12 of them). I only had to bring Turkey and Mac&cheese and the others brought things too - that in itself was wonderful. Hope your week is wonderful. Hugz!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Job Marisa! LOVE the soft colors!
ReplyDeleteWow this is a gorgeous card. Wonderful job with this technique and such a pretty colour combo. The little heart in the center of the "o" is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out just perfect! LOVE the colors and the ribbon and the dies and the stamp, lol! I ALMOST did the same thing with the embossing. Fabulous!!!
