Julee has put together this fabulous sketch for us to work with this week, and/or this wonderful colour combination. You can use just one or the other or combine them on your project.
I was determined to combine them this time round as last month I totally forgot about the colour combination.
Our ex-neighbours, dear friends and adherent third set of grandparents to our kids are grieving the loss of his mother this past week, so I wanted to get a sympathy card out to them to let them know we are holding them in our prayers and there for them. I used the Award Banner die and one of my all time favorite go to dies -- Flutterby. The sentiment is Isaiah 61:3 from Scripture Medley 1 and I love using it to encourage people during this hard season of life.
Thanks for popping by and if you want to see which cards I chose to highlight for this week's VLV sketch and Colour Combination, head on over to the Viva La Verve blog and check it out.
Wishing you a fabulous day!

A beautiful card for such a difficult time. I hope your friends find comfort in it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous background, Marisa! We sang the song Beauty for Ashes one Sunday and I thought that the words were so perfect for a sympathy card. I'm going to take a minute to listen to that song again. Thanks for the reminder and I'm sorry for your friends loss. It's so hard to lose a parent!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely design Marisa! I love the pop of coral on the butterfly. Such an encouraging verse too!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Sympathy card Marisa. I like that sentiment and the patterns and colors are wonderful! Fun stuff! Hugz!
