The best way to start a Monday is with a fabulous Mojo Monday sketch by Julee :)
This week's sketch provides various options for the panels. You can use the rectangle one for an image and the circle for a sentiment or the other way around as I chose to do.
LOVE this Luke 1:45 Plain Jane verse! Such an amazing promise God gave Mary when she found she was pregnant with Jesus and one we can cling to today in whatever circumstance life is bringing us. The flower is die cut using Scalloped Flowers and Sprightly Sprigs die sets.
Sorry about the springs and butterflies looking black. I just can't seem to get Early Espresso to photograph dark brown and it is driving me nuts!!!
All the challenge details are over on the Mojo Monday blog and you can also view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples. Should you wish more details on the Mojo Maker's cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.
Phew! It was a hot one here this past weekend reaching close to 29C (90F) with the humidex! Where is a friend with a pool when you need one LOL! Thankfully, our house stays relatively cool in comparison to many others, but it is still a bit tough to sleep. Upside: my newly planted baskets and garden flowers are thriving {grin}!
Wishing you a fabulous day!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely verse on this card. Goes well with your lovely layout. Hope you win at MoJo Monday.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Love the colors and the beautiful sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Marisa. What a wonderful verse to remember. The flowers and butterflies here are so pretty. Don't you hate it when you can't get colours to photograph properly?! I hope you can stay cool in your warm temps -- we have some warm days coming too and I'm thankful for air conditioning.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Marisa! Our minds were in the same channel with the sprig leaves! WOW, I can't believe it's that hot already! Near 90 is too hot for me! That's when I would hibernate to my air conditioned stamp room! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Marisa! Love how the black leaves and butterflies add so much movement to this. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOhhh some more pretty butterflies. Love your sweet card. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Marisa! Been quite some time since I posted on your blog, so very sorry, life really got in my way...lost my husband 2 years ago and trying to raise a teen son by oneself really takes it's toll, especially since I am much older {63 - shh! You didn't read that, right?}
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your cards and love that you use the verses the way you do. You were the one that inspired me with them many years ago, and I've bought some along the way, for sure. Now to take some time for myself and play along with this fun sketch! God richly bless you, my friend!
Hugs,

beautiful card - even with Early Espresso masquerading as Basic Black!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty displayed with your card
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful pairing of papers and elements, which you do so incredibly well. On my screen I see deep brown, not black, and oh, so very striking! Looks like summer has settled in your part of the country, however, 90 degrees is rather toasty!
