Mojo Monday #432

Mojo 432 photo Mojo432pic.jpg

Julee has a fabulous square sketch for us to work with today.  I love making square cards and realized I haven't made one in ages so this was great fun to create!

I kept things monochromatic as I was using scraps up from MME's Lost and Found Heirloom pack - love this paper pad!  So much so that I bought two so I would have it longer LOL!  Embossed the block hearts in the background and used the Luke 1:45 Plain Jane for my sentiment.  Love this verse!  Added a butterfly sitting on the leaves cut with the leaf die from the Butterfly Dreams die set.  A perfect card to add to my stash for my daughter :)

All the challenge details are over on the Mojo Monday blog and you can also view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples.  Should you wish more details on the Mojo Maker's cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.

Hard to believe I am another year older.  Where does the time go?!  No big milestone to celebrate, just a few more grey hairs LOL.  Going to be a busy one with my daughter graduating this year as well as applying to colleges and universities as well as scholarships and then transitioning to the next phase of her life.  Going to need to ensure I have times to just "be" versus just "do" all the time.  Look out 2016 here I come :)

  3. This was a perfect sketch to use one of the long sentiments! Wish I had gone that route (I was feeling rebellious, I guess, and went A-2 plus flipped it). It will be a transitional year for sure with getting your daughter ready to be college-bound! I remember those years and also I remember how they fly by and then you're an empty nester. :-(

  10. Hi Marisa,

The lovely soft colors, the pretty heart embossing - but ohhh the sentiments - When I save up my pennies I HAVE to buy some, I have so many dear Sisters in Christ I'd love to bless with cards like this. I host a coffee each week for them.

    Your card is so inspiring!
