It's contest week over on the Mojo Monday blog! The more entries we have the more prizes are up for grabs!
Julee created this wonderful sketch for us to work with. You can dress it up or keep it simple, totally up to you :)
I used some of my favorite Stella and Rose MME papers and this wonderful flower from Dream Big and sentiment from Bloom and Grow. I triple layered the banner for a little interest and diagonal flow.
All the challenge details are over on the Mojo Monday blog and you can also view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples. Should you wish more details on the Mojo Maker's cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.
Lots of excitement this past weekend. My daughter and I drove to Kamloops (3.5 hour drive from home) so she could take her "N" driver's test. With the population density down here, there was a 3 month wait before we could get her scheduled in for a test! That meant October and with her needing to drive to university in September, that wasn't going to work so a road trip it was :) We went up bright and early so she would have 2 hours of driving time in the area to become familiar with it before her exam. Happy to report, she passed and can now drive on her own. Next test, in two years time so she can get her "adult" driver's license. Shudder to think when I was her age you could take your exam a month after writing the written exam! It is a much better process now, that's for sure!
Paddington, our kitty, ended up at the vet because he had blood in his pee. Getting him there was quite the experience!! He would NOT go into the cat carrier, no matter how we tried to get him in. That meant option B, which was a large box. He got his head out a few times so we ended up having to tape the box shut and add a few air holes. Fur was everywhere and thankfully nobody got in the way of his claws in the process. Little rotter!! Hoping it is just a UTI and nothing more serious. Won't know until blood work and culture from his urine results come back later this week. Fingers crossed that is all it is.
And today, my "baby" turns 16!! Yikes, where does the time go...??!!! On to round two of diving lessons!
Wishing you a great week!

ReplyDeleteThis sentiment is awesome... I am loving it and your flower looks wonderful. Beautiful card. Boy you guys have a very different drivers license system... Glad she got in and got her N card. Totally lost on that one. ;-) Congrats to your son as well on turning the big 16! Gasp... I have to tell you what... we had the boys drive to the beach last week and it was interesting. They have their permits and passed all the tests. Now they just need the 50 hours of drive time. John thought it would be a good idea to let them get some experience driving in big city traffic and long distance. Ahem... I think I have not been more nervous driving ever. HA!! They did fabulous though and was so proud of them, that is a huge amount for them to do and they did awesome. It was fun watching movies while they drove too, hee hee
ReplyDeleteLove the design paper in the background, and the beautiful flower...very colorful and pretty card.
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty pattern papers!! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your daughter and Happy Birthday to your son!!
