Curtain Call Act 41

What a wonderful, summer colour combo Stacey has chosen for this week.  Reminds me of sand, sea and blue sky - the perfect combination for a great day at the beach :)

The weather here has been simply fabulous all summer, but believe it or not, we haven't been down to the beach yet....the shame of it....especially when it is only five miles away from our house and people drive all the way out from Vancouver to spend the day there!  Needless to say, it is on our agenda for next week!  Last time we went the kids found a starfish and we were able to keep it in one of our buckets while we were there.  It was amazing to watch it curl its legs up more and more so it could drop down to the bottom of the bucket where it felt less exposed.  Looked like it was wearing the shoes the court jesters wore (the ones that curl up at the toes and have the bells at the ends).

Sorry, I regressed....on to the card!  I had a beach image all stamped out but had absolutely no colours that matched the colour challenge so couldn't colour the image - another vote for my need of Copics LOL!  Back to the drawing board....or more accurately, my fall to set these days!  Yes, out came Vintage Vogue, and once again I managed to turn some masculine colours into a girly card.  Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from a few weeks back became the foundation of my card (even though I did tweek it a bit by adding the extra flower).

I was shocked to see the difference in colour between the Night of Navy card stock and ink!  It looks like I used Night of Navy on the flowers, but I didn't, honest!!  Don't own Marina Mist yet so used Brocade Blue ink instead.  A bit of ruffled ribbon, some black half pearls and I was good to go.
