Flower Bookmarks

The addiction continues, and this time round I made a few flower bookmarks.  The best part is they are made from scraps in my "to be used later" box.  This is a box I use to put things that don't make it on to a card for whatever reason:  changed my mind, colours were wrong, too big, too small etc., etc.  Figured it was about time I start using some things in the box rather than just adding to it LOL!

It's great fun mixing up the border punches along the bottom.  Next time I won't use the twine because it catches when you are putting the bookmark on and that would drive me nuts (that is the practical side of me speaking).  However, for aesthetics, it works just fine LOL!

Thanks for bearing with me and all these bookmarks!! If you haven't tried on yet, do!  They are very easy to make and the sky is the limit :)

Have a fabulous day!

  6. What a great idea to use up those scraps, and those things that languish in our "to be used later" boxes!

I agree; twine probably would drive me nuts too.

  10. LOVE that first bookmark. The colors are so warm. I would want to open that book up just to stare at the bookmark, lol!

Thanks for the congrats! I was so surprised to see my name there! I can't win with a card entry, but I can win a random name draw, lol. Go figure! But I'm super excited for some free Verve!! I loved so many in this winter release, it was hard to limit myself (the win definitely helped out!).

  15. Marisa,

I had to come back after your comment! I am reading the Outlander series, too! I am only on book 3 since I just started reading it a few months ago. I was told to go slow because there is a major clifthanger and the next is not due out until late 2012. I do read other stuff while I am reading it because it is so intense!

  16. Perfect idea! I need to use up scraps! My scrap box is overflowing and lately I have challenged myself to work as much as I can out of that box. I am doing pretty good, but sadly it doesn't look like I have made a dent, so that goes to show you how BIG the box was! :-( Thanks for sharing!
