Love You Mom

I have another Mother's Day card for you today.  A crimped "U" in my cast off box caught my eye so I decided to build a card around it.  Nothing better than an excuse to use my favorite PTI  flower die as well :)

We had a glorious four day stretch of weather, which was beyond wonderful - spring has definitely sprung! For how long, who knows, but we'll take what we can get LOL!

My son and I went to see the Hunger Games on Saturday and it was fabulously done.  The 2.5 hours just flew by and it held very true to the book - something that doesn't happen very often when books go Hollywood.  Needless to say, I'm now reading book two of the trilogy LOL!

Thanks for popping by today - always appreciate your company :)

What's In It?
Stamps: Beautiful You (Verve)
Paper: Recollections DP, Early Espresso, Pretty in Pink, Rose Romance, Tan
Ink: Black
Accessories:Scalloped Circle and Circle Nesties,  "U" Die (Verve), Medium Scalloped Die (PTI),  Martha Stewart Leaf Punch, Crimper, Magenta Grosgrain Ribbon, Button, Twine, Glue Dot, Dimensionals

This is so pretty Marisa. Great for a Mother's Day card. I love the colors you chose and crimping the U makes it stand out. I loved the Hunger Games too. I think you will like the rest of the series. Not as good as the first but well written.

ah, looks like we are both full onto Mother's Day! Tis the season :) Love the pink and browns together and always get excited when someone can use an extra shape :) I liked the movie too although I'm a stickler and want ALL the details of the book in the movie...which might make it a 20 hour long movie! lOL

Ohhhhh, love how you crimped the U. VERY sweet card, Marisa.

I agree, the 2.5-hour movie FLEW by. They really did do a great job with it. I want to go see the movie again.

I love all those pretty pinks, Marisa! This card is just lovely. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. My daughter keeps urging me to read the HG trilogy. I just don't know if I can afford to get hooked right now!!

(Sorry I haven't been able to stop by much recently--real life has been calling, rather LOUDLY, I might add! It was a treat to be able to stop by to see your creations again.)

I saw the movie with my girls and my mom, when she was here visiting with us. I thought it was great, and haven't even read the book yet. You're right: the time flies by really quickly.

Love how you built your card around the "u" rescued from the basket!
