Retro Sketch #22
Another fun Retro Sketch this week. Used one of my favorite colour combos (pink, brown and green) as well as a few scraps from my "to use later" pile which is always a bonus!
Quick and easy card as I have 50 pounds of blueberries to wash, dry, put on cookie sheets and stick in the freezer. After a day in the freezer, into freezer bags they go so we can enjoy them all winter long :)
Fingers crossed for the kids as today is their evaluation day and we find out whether they will pass this swimming level or not. They are on the bubble right now, so hopefully they can pull it off. Would be really nice if my son passed as it is his birthday today and what a nice gift that would be :)
Thanks for popping by today!
What's In It?
Stamps: Fluttering By (Verve)
Paper: Dots and Stripes (Echo Park), Rose Romance, Early Espresso
Ink: Black
Accessories:Flutterby and Elegant Leaf Die (Verve), Corner Rounder, 5/8" Brown Satin Ribbon, Buttons, Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
Dotted paper, pretty leaves and banner...equals a great card, Marisa.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your son. Are you making him a blueberry cake? LOL
Happy birthday to you son! I hope the swimming tests go well! Love the color combo you choose. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love these colors too and I love how you always shop your stash to add special touches. Wonderful card and I love the sketch - I need to play in this one. My favorite thing is how you did the ribbon and button (other than the colors). Blueberries sound yummy and how great you have so many of them to use throughout the year. Wishing you all sucess on the testing today too -keep us posted! Hugz!

ReplyDeleteI love that combo too! I'm so envious of you Marisa! You can tell a 'Marisa' card a mile off! I don't have a style and would love to make cards that are identifiable as 'mine'. Ah well, I'll just keep admiring yours instead. Good luck with the swimming kids! xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your son, Marisa! Awesome colors and fantastic take on the sketch!
