Bookmark For My Daughter

Seeing as I'm is mass production mode for this Friday's school Craft Fair, I thought I'd show you one of the bookmarks I'm giving my daughter for Christmas.  She is an avid reader and loved some of the ones I have made for others, so I thought I had better make her one.  In fact, I should probably make a few for her as she always has a book or two on the go -- needless to say, I' m very thankful for our local library!!

Must admit I took a break from cards and projects today to redesign my blog a little.  One can only take so many hours in a row of repetitive crafting (note I said repetitive crafting LOL!).  Mass production of many cards for twelve to fourteen hours a day for many days in a row gets a bit dull after a while!  I needed a creativity break and when I saw my favorite colour (green) with polka dots and a scalloped border I squealed with delight!!  It gives me warm fuzzies every time I see it -- what can I say, simple things in life give me great joy :)

Gotta run, have tons left to do for the Craft Fair!!  Have a fabulous day :)

What's In It?
Stamp: Elzybelles
Paper:  Bordering Blue, So Saffron
Accessories:  Circle and Scalloped Circle Nesties, Martha Stewart Daisy Border Punch, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Grosgrain Ribbon, Half Pearls, Twinkling H2Os

OK, I couldn't take it any longer. Seeing all your beautiful bookmarks I went back to the original and found your link for making them. I will have to give them a try! Thanks, Marisa!

So cute Marisa....she'll love it!

And ouch on the mass producing. I'm not a big fan of having to do that either. You're a gem for doing something so nice!

love the new look as well...yummy kraft paper...it looks real! LOL And love this book mark...the colours, the border, it just all works for me. Okay, how many cards are you mass producing? yikes!! Is it money for the school or money for you? Hope you are staying warm. It was about -11 here, but -29 with the windchill...an in day at breaktime. BUT the staff meeting was cancelled and I had a district meeting all morning, so it's been rather a nice day (despite the cold!). hugs!!

This is such a pretty bookmark Marisa, your daughter will be making good use of it I'm sure! I hope you manage to get everything done for the fair, it sounds like a great deal of work.

I'm also an avid library user and am currently working my way through Phillippa Gregory books. Marisa, I'm afriad I have a shocking admission - I tried Diana Gabaldon but just couldn't get on with her writing style and had to give up after 150 pages or so (hides face in shame). I really did try as so many people recomended her to me. I hope they don't all shun me in disgust lol!

Hi again Marisa! I thought something looked different! NOw that I am reading you changed the look of your blog, I cannot remember what the old one looked like. Sorry! But I like the soft, papery look of the scalloped edge and I'm glad they had your fave color - green. (good for a Punchkateer to know when it comes time for your birthday)
