Throwing Down My Mojo

This week is Mojo Monday challenge time which means a chance to win some free Verve so I'm a playin' :)

I combined the sketch with this week's Color Throwdown.  They were a great mix of colours and though I had to sub a few colours, I think it worked.

Please excuse the very sad job on the border punching.  I don't have the corner punch yet and it shows - ugh!  Tried doing it free hand and would get one end to work and not the other, or one side and not the other and a whole mess of other combinations which didn't add up to any semblance of uniformity so I gave up and what you see is what you get for now.  The bottom right hand corner was a bit bare so I turned the corner and added a button.  Thanks to Julee for her continued generosity in the Mojo challenges.  Love that girl and her Verve :)

Thanks for fluttering by (sorry, couldn't resist) and enjoy your day.

This is so pretty Marisa. I love that you turned up the corner. That gives it a little extra. These colors are great for fall. You are so good at these challenges..

Marisa, this is lovely! I know, if there's a chance for Verve candy, let's do it, right?? I have a card for this challenge as well, but I can't post until tomorrow night. I was asked to make a sample card for this weekend's Inspiration Challenge at SCS, so can't post until later tomorrow night. And it's funny you mention punching around a panel: I said pretty much the same thing on my yet-to-post post!

Wow, Marisa, so many fine details to this card! Love the gorgeous butterflies, that striking red ribbon/bow and that cute folded over corner. What a great touch! Awesome job with the sketch as well!

Hello, luv :)

It's fitting that the card you posted today is a "thinking of you" card as that is just what I was doing... THINKING OF YOU! A lovely card it is, too :).

I just wanted to tease/tempt you a little and let you know that the ski resorts are starting to open up here. Whenever you feel like getting back in the bindings, come on down :).

Granny is doing good. She's a little bored at rehab because the old people there won't listen to her talk incessantly...LOL. I've been a wee bit under the weather for a few days, so I haven't gone to see her. Marci is doing good, too. If I could only get her to take a rest! She's a go go go girl.

Big hugs, my friend!

You rocked both challenges, Marisa!! I especially like the turned corner. That's so cute! I forget about little tricks like that. And don't feel bad about your frame punching. Even with with matching SU corner punch, it's super tricky going around the page with that set. You did better than most of us even *without* the corner!!!

I love that turned up corner with the button! Really fabulous combination of both challenges!

Loved the way you worked them all in :) I hope you have someone in the family getting that corner punch for you!! Will you be sneaking into gifts early again this year? LOL Interviews all went well...everyone showed up!! Wow!! Never had that before!! LOL I really have a great bunch of parents who seem to be on the same page with me about children and the joy of learning :)
