Birthday Butterflies

Saw this Card Patterns sketch and decided to give it a go, after all it is a round card and I love making them.  Don't own any banner dies and wasn't up to making one - insert too lazy to try - so I went with Option B.

I combined the sketch with this week's CR84FN challenge because I loved the colour combo and had the perfect October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP to use.

Since I don't have any banner dies and was too lazy to make one, I opted to use butterflies instead - surprise, surprise LOL!

I had to add a tiny bit of Mellow Moss on the sentiment panel so hopefully the challenge police will let it slide.  Needed a little something more so added a couple of Recollection roses from Mike's and I was good to go.  Can't believe Mike's was putting them on clearance!!  Asked the cashier about it and she thinks they are just clearing out the old colours - sure hope so!

Back tomorrow with my Inkspirations challenge card.

What pretty colors and a lovely design, Marisa!! I'm drooling over that October Afternoon paper. It really gives this card a special look.

The Recollections roses are on clearance at Michael's??? I'd better get my sorry self over to my local store and check it out!!

what a lovely interpretation of the sketch!! Those sweet butterflies fit perfectly! I know, what's up with the flower clearance? and the bling? They finally get some trends when they are happening and then clear them out? They also moved the flowers to a different part of our store so I finally found them again after thinking they were all gone! LOL

Darling circle card! Love your scrunched ribbon and the use of butterflies is ingenious for the banner element! That is some of my fave DP...am thinking I need to get another OA pad just to have more of those sweet little rosey papers!

Marisa, this is darling. I commented on the SCS gallery. I didn't realize it was a StampinB challenge; but, spring is certainly in the air with your awesome card! Remember to get my refreshments ready when I come over and you show me that ribbon treatment!!!
