Inkspirations Sketch Challenge # 71

This week's sketch gave me grief LOL!  All those panels scream DP and so I had to face my lack of DP prowess and delve in.  Won't tell you how long it took me to make this card as it is embarrassing, but the good news is I am happy with the final result :)

My starting point was a piece of My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose DP.   Couldn't get the rest of the DPs in the line to work for me (insert amateur DP user LOL!), so I created some of my own with background stamps.  Got to use my brand spanking new PTI Polka Dot Basics II set.  I have been drooling over this set for a long time, and I am so glad to have it crossed off my wish list and in my possession - happy sigh...!!  I used French Script on the Saffron panel and left the blue one alone as most of it was covered up anyway.  Phew!

The leaf and butterfly were cast offs from another card, and they worked perfectly -  love when that happens :)  I paired them with Verve's Plain Jane, Ecclesiastes 3:11 (love this verse) and added a few buttons and some "Maureen bling" in the corner.

The rest of the Design Team has some fabulous cards for your inspiration.

Well, this card screamed to me "this was so easy, why don't you go ahead and try it!"...Just sayin'...that's what I heard. It's amazing that we can see a final product and just think that you came to this result without any grief, but that isn't always the case. Anyway, this did turn out amazing...it's a perfect masculine card (yes, even with the butterflies).
Have a super weekend, my friend, hope you get a lot of crafting time in!

This card is so different for you, but I LOVE it! Love how you used the color blocks (I hear they're hot!) and stamped your own DP. Brilliant work, dear!

My kind of sketch; straight lines and panels, lol!! Love your take on it Marisa; the orange and blues remind me of summer holidays. Another wonderful sentiment too. xx

That little strip of MME paper is just perfect Marisa...sometimes I find that's the best way to go...a little DP and then stamp your own! Pretty card!
