Welcome to the second Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge for
April! This time round, our challenge is Simplicity. All you CAS card makers - this is your challenge! I greatly admire CAS card makers as I have such a hard time with them!! After a few attempts, I decided to go with my version of CAS {grin}. Went with neutral pallet in the photo an the orange flowers for a pop of colour.
Realized after I had made this card that is is the same set I used for my last Curtain Call card....oops! It was still out on my desk as we have had a very tough week emotionally. My daughter has gone to school with a set of triplets since first grade and they were all in their senior year in high school. Sadly, one of them was killed in an ATV accident last weekend.... He was the nicest, most responsible boy and a seasoned ATV driver. Just a fluke bump into a rut that tipped his ATV into the concrete bridge support and threw him him off the bridge and down 30 feet. My heart ACHES for their mom as I did many a hot lunch and field trip driving with her when our kids were in elementary school. Memorial service was on Wednesday, and I was a crying mess. Hug your kids tight and tell them you love them every day as we are never guaranteed tomorrow...
Have fun with the challenge and I look forward to seeing your "simple" creations in the Curtain Call gallery.

Marisa, What a pretty CAS card and a great interpretation of the sketch! Love those pops of orange against your neutrals. Thanks so much for the kind comments you left when visiting my blog. :)
So awful. My heart breaks for your friends. Thinking of you and love your version of CAS :)
Your CAS car is so pretty! Love the pop of orange of your flowers on the neutral background!!
What a sad story! I am so sorry for your friends! I think those things should be outlawed!!!
I love your wonderful take on the inspiration photo, Marisa!
This is fantastic, Marisa! Love the notebook with the twine bow! Great card!
Oh, Marisa, my heart breaks for that mom and the remaining triplets...as well as for your daughter and you. What a tragic and devastating accident. Yes, we are never guaranteed tomorrow or even another breath, and may we live as such and love those we love dearly. I love your CAS card, and it is hard to do (for me as well). But you've made a lovely one with the pop of color with your sweet orange flowers! Love it!! Tender hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
Looks awesome with the pop of color!!
Such a pretty card Marisa. Love the orange flowers... the touch of black looks perfect... also love the background paper. Sorry to hear about your emotional week.
I'm so very sorry to hear about the tragedy, Marisa. Somehow it seems even more horrific that he was a triplet. We lost a nephew at age 18 in an accident and the pain is always there. Every parent's worst nightmare. I'll remember them in my prayers. Hugs, Darnell
