VLV July Week 1 Sketch Recap

VLV July 2016 Wk 1 photo VLVJul16wk1pic.jpg

It's recap time for July's' first Viva La Verve sketch of July and I get to recap Julee's wonderful sketch.

I mixed some Basic Grey and MME papers with the "beautiful" word die from Verve's Beautiful Flowers  layered on top of the large  Stitched Pennants die.  The heart die from the Scalloped Trim Trio die set framed the bottom nicely and I and finished things off with my favorite butterfly from Petals and Wings.   A touch of swiss dots in the background and a ribbon finished things off.

You can check out who I spotlighted for this sketch over at the Viva La Verve blog as well as additional inspriation from the gallery.

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

Oh, Marisa, I love the soft color palette and really love the kraft with white. The pink and green are perfect with wonderful DP. Love how you've used this sketch...it really is beautiful! Hugs, sweet friend!

Delicate, soft, pretty...and, as always, the butterfly sees me smiling! This day, we were heading to Kelowna, where I stayed behind with my mom-in-law and my husband headed off your direction to officiate at the Tour de Delta road bike race. The entire week (BC Superweek) is filled with events, the majority being criterium races. He was at this one because it's a UCI-level event and he's a National commissaire. Perhaps, should he be selected next year, I'll tag along...we could meet for coffee! Fingers crossed!
