Mojo Monday #466

 photo Mojo466pic.jpg

Happy Monday!  At least that is my take on Monday's as there is always a great sketch to work with :)

Needed a 50th birthday card this past weekend for my SIL's birthday and that big panel was perfect for showcasing a big "5 - 0" wink, wink :)   I wanted to girly it up a bit for her so used one of my favorite colour combos of pink and green, added some butterflies (any excuse will do LOL), and punched the corners to soften the edges up a bit.  Chose a soft grey for the numbers (didn't want them to be too bold - ha!) and embossed them for a little texture and dimension.

All the challenge details are over on the Mojo Monday blog and you can also view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples.  Should you wish more details on the Mojo Maker's cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.

Have a fabulous week and I look forward to seeing what you create using this week's sketch!

What's In It?
Paper:  In Love (Sweetwater Scrapbook Company), Going Grey, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink (Stampin' Up)
Accessories:  Number Dies (PTI), Butterfly and Heart Corner Punch (Martha Stewart), Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Pink Half Pearls, Button, Twine, Glue Dot, Dimensionals.

Oh, Marisa, this is BEAUTIFUL, and I know your SIL loved it! I love this color combo myself and really love how you've softened it up. And, yes, I agree that the "50" is perfect and not too bold - hehe! Been a long time since I've seen that number, but I always love kind cards, and this is a beautifully kind and loving one! Stunning take on the sketch! Hugs, sweet friend!

This card is beautiful. Love the colors. I need to make a 50th birthday card for a man this week so your card and the Mojo sketch will give me inspiration.

The sweet pink and green palette along with the scattering of butterflies makes this such a pretty card~
