Verve September 2013 Spotlight Hop ~ Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our September 2013 Spotlight Hops!   If you have come here from Christyne's blog you are right on track. If you just happened up on the Hop, you can follow the list below to get caught up.  Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, September 27th

Today's featured set is Birthday Bots (perfect for pairing with yesterday's Geared Up) and there is even a little robot that could easily be a "girl bot" -- perfect for any robot loving little girl.  In addition, Verve now has sequins in the house - hello!  Metal Mix consists of the most adorable mini cog wheel sequins and the Pastel Sequin pack has a lovely mix of, pink, yellow, green, blue and cream sequins.

For my card, I used the "girl bot" image -- well it's a girl in my mind anyway :)   I left her uncoloured for a bit of a graphic look, and mounted her on to the largest Cogs Nestability.  The sentiment is from To The Moon and is stamped on one of the Flag It dies.  I added a few tabs from the Pennant Trim die, a few sequins from the new Pastel Sequin Mix package, buttons, and yellow seam binding from the Spring Fling Ribbon Collection.

Had so much fun with this round card shape that I made another round card front and added it on to a square card base.

Oh my gosh this is so cute Marisa. It reminds me of Rosy the Robot on the "Jetsons". One of my favorite cartoons growing up. I love how you kept the shape of the card in line with the theme. Really really cute.

Cute as can be for a girl. My little 3 yr. old may love this one....she would probably want it a little scarier. Ha..You know a monster (fun one).

So cute!! Such a genius idea to use the gear shape as the base layer for the focal point. And "she" is super adorable.

I adore round cards, and the gear shape is perfect for this image. Thanks for leaving her uncolored. I am not great with coloring and tend to shy away from images that I feel should be colored. This looks wonderful in B&W!
