Butterflies and Flowers

Yeah, Canada won Gold again today!!!  This time Christie Nesbitt won in the Women's 1000 meter long track speed skating event.  Loved watching Shawn White win Gold for the US in the Men's Half Pipe last night.  I stood there with my mouth hanging open - two of the most amazing runs I have ever seen!

It's a glorious day today - blue skies, sunshine and lovely warm temperatures.  Vancouver at it's best :D  That lead me to butterflies and flowers again.  I used my new SU Flower punch and SU Butterfly die for this sketch of Jen's.  I ran the butterfly through my Birds and Swirl embossing folder and the flower centers through the Swiss Dots embossing folder to give them a bit of texture. The white panel pattern was made on my Scor-Pal and I curled the flower petals a bit with a knife.

Off to watch more Olympics!  Have a great day :D

What a great card Marisa!

Oh I am loving the Olympics. I also was in awe over those halfpikes. The girls last night, I felt so bad for all those falls and wonder how they don't break their backs when they hit the wall. Yikes..... but the Aussie had the best run. These olympics are surely shining.

love that diamond panel with the score lines...it really jazzes it up, doesn't it? I'm really enjoying the curling...although feel bad when we beat the other teams by so much...it's really putting a target on our backs! EEKS...can't wait to hear what you do in Van...take pics!!

A gorgeous card full of spring Marisa! I know! Isn't it great to celebrate with Canada on these medals?

Is it crazy in your area, or are you far enough removed where the craziness with all the people at the Olympics isn't by you?
