Kraft Cardstock - My Newest Addiction

What a delightful mix of colours Stacey has come up with this week.  Love the softness of the colours with a pop of black.  I have often used black, pink and white together, but would have never thought of adding kraft to the mix.  In all honesty, until I became a Curtain Call Crew member and had to buy some Kraft because Stacey had it in a few of her colour challenges, I had never really used Kraft - gasp!!  I know, I 'm slow on the pick up!  However, I can honestly say it could very well become my next addiction LOL!

Once again, I turned to Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. Note to self -- make sure to use a different sketch next week so my card can be added to the link on her blog (which closes on Thursdays) and have a chance to be the winner of the random selection and have my card featured on her blog.  Either that, or make two cards using her sketch LOL!

Sorry, I regressed...back to the card!  The inspiration picture made me want to duplicate the wall pattern on my card, but it just didn't work with what I was trying to create so I'll have to save that for another time - which may end up being sooner than later!  Out came my Verve wreath for the circle portion of the sketch.  Each point on the wreath has a black half pearl (even though they are hard to see in the picture) and the sentiment is popped up and underscored with pink half pearls.  Since I don't have the corner punch to go with this Stampin' Up! border punch I had to wing the corners of the white panel.  Needless to say, that issue has now been rectified via an order LOL!  In hindsight I'm thinking I should have used VersaMark to put a pattern on the Kraft panel but it's too late now - something else to save for next time.

The rest of the Curtain Call Crew have some wonderful samples for your inspiration.
We'd love it if you joined us too!!  Simply create a card using this week's colours and add your card to Mr. Linky on Stacey's blog.  If  you are uploading to a public gallery, please make sure to use the keyword Curtain Call.  Each week, Stacey will select one person to receive her "I Got The Lead At The Curtain Call"  Award as well as five people to receive her "I'm A Top 5 Curtain Call Show Stopper" Award which you can post on your blog, so come on over and join the fun !

Addiction to kraft is a GOOD addiction! :)
Marisa, this card seriously rocks! I so love the dimension, Verve wreath is awesome, and I don't think Versa Mark stamping would be needed here...

LOVE this colour combo :) Yay, you love kraft now :) I remember when I first started using it...now I've gone through about 2 SU packs and 2 PTI packs. It's the best for card bases and even sentiments popped up :) Love your wreath...you've really perfected them. The trick (I get now...) is to pop up the middle and give it dimension. Hope your Sunday is going well :)

No kidding, I said, "Wow!" when I saw your card. It's just beautiful. The center medallion is great and the half pearls are the perfect touch! I think you were right not to stamp the Kraft.

Wow, Marisa, this is gorgeous! Into my notebook of faves for future inspiration! I didn't think I'd use that scallop corner punch, but love the look you gave it.
