So nice to be back into the Inkspriations challenges again, though I must admit the peach colour in this combo was giving me some serious grief! Maybe it is because I had to substitute the colour and it wasn't a good fit, but regardless of the cause, I showed that colour who was boss by minimizing how much of it I used on the card. Yes, I know, it a sad state of affairs when one has battles with paper, but it's always fun when you win LOL!
I combined this week's sketch with an old Cardabilities sketch. I wanted to use the sketch, as is, for a Christmas card as it was already made for me, but ran out of time so it will be on the shelf for next Christmas for sure.
Out came the lacy circle nesties and some punches to create the focal image. I Swiss-dotted the center circle and used my French Script background stamp on the red portion for a little texture. Mind you I just noticed I put the script upside down on the card - ugh! Still working out the stamping kinks LOL! A crimped horizontal panel for some dimension, a bit of ribbon with a bow and a birthday sentiment in lieu of the brads up top and I was good to go. Still a slow process making a card, but it is wonderful to be stamping again so I can live with it LOL!
The rest of the Design Team has some great inspiration to get you going on this week's sketch.

There you go again - rockin those bright colours!!! This is such a fun and fab card Marisa!!!!
BTW - wish I could say it's warm over here, but it's wet, half the state is flooded and all the Mango flowers were wiped off with the weather, so not much for you to dream about over here at the moment. :(
Love it! {in my sweetest possible angel voice}-which is really nonexistent~FYI
Superbly vibrant and fab-o use of the sketch and colors!
Hope to see you at the release par-tay tonight, girlie~
As long as you win, it's alright to battle with paper =)
Great job on this color challenge, Marisa! The sketch you used is great and I that sentiment! Nobody would've even noticed the script if you hadn't pointed it out (that's something I would do!) LOL!
This is really pretty, Marisa! I love the colors you ended up using. The "unknown" peach is perfect for this combo! What a pretty sketch, too. So glad you were victorious in your paper battles!!!!!

Fabulous Marisa! I must admit I struggle with peach too; it's a pretty colour but I just don't get on with it at all. xx
Marisa 1 vs Paper 0!! You certainly won this battle Marisa. Great card - so clean & crisp, & the colours really "pop". The hint of black finishes it all off perfectly. :)

Wow! You totally created an amazing card with the color challenge - simply beautiful!
Where have I been? You've made a few cards since I got back to visiting your blog. Snow, getting ready for snow, hubby sick, pet sitting, etc.
So glad to see this refreshing card. I'm sure I would have had a hard time with Peach Parfait but
you conquered it so well. I love that you use your crimper a good bit. I like that look but can hardly remember to get it out.
totally sweet, Marisa! Love the layout, love the crimped part!
