Inkspirations Colour Challenge #54

Just love the colour combination Keesh chose this week, and was thrilled to be able to celebrate my birthday by making a card with them :)

Having a January birthday when you live on the West Coast of Canada means there is a veeeery good chance you will get showered with looots of  rain on your birthday LOL!  So, I decided to celebrate by giving myself a breath of Spring :)

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch from a few weeks ago -- I can never seem to get my cards made in time for her sketches lately!  The large circle in the sketch immediately brought SU's Season of Friendship set to mind.  It's a perfect match to my not so subconscious wish for Spring and all the wonderful cherry blossoms we get around here, especially after all the snow and rain we've been having lately - ugh!

In addition, I want to give this card to all of you who so faithfully come to visit me in my little part of blogland.  I treasure the wonderful friendships I have made through this blog and only wish I could meet you all in person!  Thanks for being my encouragement and inspiring me to keep stamping (((hugs))).

The rest of the Design Team has some great inspiration to get you going on this week's sketch.

In addition, each week Keesh will select a winner and an honorable mention and post their cards on the Inkspirations Challenge blog.  We'd love to see your card featured, so come and join us this week :)

I'm off to a family dinner at my mom's tonite (chicken and dumplings with a sour cream and caraway sauce - yummy!!) and my favorite cake for dessert.  Needless to say, I"ll definitely be doing the Nordic Track or Tae Bo tomorrow LOL!  Hoping the stamping fairy will be good to me :)

Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for sharing my birthday with me!

Happy Birthday my wonderful friend! Sounds like the celebration is starting off right with mom's good cookin'! And the fact that you didn't have to cook!
Your card is beautiful, you certainly have a way with colors and design. A lovely friendship card and I must say that we all value your friendship as well! Never have I met a more dedicated cheerleader than you! Not only to churn out wonderful card goodness on a steady basis, but you always find the time to comment on our cards as well. You are a true GEM, my dear, I hope you have a down right fabulous birthday! And Billy Banks can sit this one out~

I'm really loving the spring feel of this card, and I love all the pink blooms on the tree. My regret is not buying this stamp set when it was available! Funny how things grow on you when it's too late to grab them huh? LOL
Have a wonderful birthday and enjoy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Marisa!! I dropped a little something in the mail to you this week, but I'm afraid I forgot to plan for the delay in crossing the border. So you'll be able to celebrate your Bday just a little bit longer this year. Ack--sorry! LOVE this pretty card with its lovely spring colors. You decorated that tree so nicely!

Happppppyyyyy Birthday dearest Marisa!!! (Belated)
I meant to pop in here yesterday to wish you a big happy happy birthday - but I had to attend to two little children who are under the weather. I hope your special day was wonderful and that you had a ton of cake and cupcakes and chocolates! :)
You are such a sweetheart and you rock as the official Verve Party Release Secretary!! I don't know how you do it! Wishing you all the happiness in the world and more!!!
Big big big hugs,
