Owl Be Your Friend

I got this darling Studio G owl stamp at Michael's this summer and decide it was time it saw some ink.

I flipped the orientation of this week's CPS sketch  to a horizontal version so I could get him sitting on a branch.  I ended up fudging on the sketch a bit but I liked it better that way.  Hope the CPS police don't mind :)

The branch comes from Stampin' Up's Cheep Talk set, the DP is from my Costco pack, and the ribbon is from none other than the Michael's ribbon bin (what would I do without that ribbon bin LOL!).  The large black half pearls were a perfect fit for his eyes and I love how it makes them stand out :)

That's it for today.  Off to do some Tae Bo with Billy Blanks as I got more than a good workout yesterday when we had to shovel 8 inches of  WET snow off our driveway!  In classic West Coast fashion, the temperatures are way up and the rain has begun so the snow is well on it's way out already.  Thankfully the kids got to play in it at recess and lunch at school yesterday before it got too wet.

Have a fabulous day.  Back tomorrow with my Inkspirations sketch challenge card.

Your little argyle owl is adorable! The pearls really do add great dimension for his eyes! No snow here...only frigid temps! Woke up to 17 degrees but the wind makes it feel so much colder.

Darling is right! That owl is too cute and the colors are perfect! I don't know what I'd do without Mike's dollar ribbon bin either, I could spend all day standing in that display! (Until security tells me to get out.)
Seriously, this a seriously awesome card.

Now this owl is really cute! Sometimes I find owls a bit scary. I'm not sure why. Yours looks pretty friendly though. I love the DP and ribbon too!

aw, what a little cutie...I haven't seen that ribbon!! It may be because they often put the ribbon bin OUTSIDE, even in the winter...I'm not digging through anything in this weather!! LOL We got more snow last night and the kids LOVED sliding in it...but still no snow day...rats!!! Just one in my career would be fun!!

I know exactly which owl stamp you mean--I picked up that one, too!! I love the scene you created for this little guy, and I'm pretty sure no one will mind that you took liberties with the sketch. I do that all the time!!

I wish *our* snow were melting as quickly as yours!! I can't believe how high it is stacked everywhere. So hard to see around corners at intersections--no fun. :(

That little owl is just so cute perched on that branch. He looks as if he is taking in the countryside with those cute eyes you gave him. Just adorable, Marisa!
We still have plenty of snow but I believe the melting will really take place today..warming up a bit after 8 degrees last night.

Oh, I am lovin' this. Owls are always a good choice. Love that you paired him up with the Cheep Talk set. The ribbon ...how did I know before I even read that it came from Mike's bin? Good score!
