Inkspirations Colour Challenge #58

Keesh came up with another fun colour combination this week.  They were perfect for a masculine card so I decided to make my second masculine of the week.  Think that's more than I made all of last year LOL!

I combined the colours with Jen's February Sketch For You To Try.  Being as I'm still off kilter after making a skewed panel card for my Color Dare card on Wednesday, I branched way out from my normal style on this card.  It ended up being a rustic, slightly western look, though in hindsight I should have probably used a different nestie shape.  The sentiment is from Verve's Big Wish, and distressing all the panels was very therapeutic for my post-skewed-panel-shock-syndrome LOL! A  touch of twine, crimping and stars finished things off nicely.  Now I just need a cowboy to send this to.  Anyone know one?

The rest of the Design Team has some great inspiration to get you going on this week's sketch.

Off to do more work for hubby...another three to four weeks to go....  Have a fabulous weekend :)

Ha You really were in shock over that skewed panel episode earlier this week...causing you to make a masculine card. I do know someone you could send it to....yes, our Pam. You know she has a cowboy in the closet. LOL
Seriously, I really like your card with all the distressing, twine, and other wonderful elements.

Awesome masculine card, Marisa! I should use stars more often, because I love the way they look on a card. The embossed and distressed white panel adds such a fun texture!

Yes! LIke Benzi said, you could send this to Pamzi. That's so funny; I was thinking it before I read her comment!

I like your 'new' Labels nestie. Must have!

Hey, I dreamed I met you the other night. It was too funny! I was talking with you about how to pronounce your name: Mar - ee - sa, or Mar - ih - sa. I think it's the first one. Which is it?

This looks great Marisa! Love your combination of elements & I think this nestie shape works perfectly with the "western" theme. Good luck tracking down a cowboy recipient!
Hope you have recovered from the skewed panel incident - they can be rather shock inducing! lol :)
