You Make A Difference

This week's Clean and Simple FTL was an interesting one so I decided to give it a try.  Try became the operative word too - ugh!

I desperately wanted to use my new lacy oval nesties, and after much frustration and lots of changes, this is the card I ended up with.  It's not totally true to the sketch, but with the way things were going (or more appropriately, not going), I took some artistic license so I could get to bed LOL!  That will teach me not to heed my note to self about not staying up late to work on a card.

Think it is going to be a long day, which may even require a bit of a 15 minute power nap or a sip of some caffeine, not to mention an early bedtime :) What's the saying,..."do as I say not as I do" LOL!  Later :)

What's In It?
Stamps: (Verve) Because of You

Ink: Black
Accessories:  Marvy Flower Punch, Lacy Oval and Oval Nesties, PTI Medium Scallop Die, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, 5/8" Black Sheer Ribbon, Half Pearls, Dimensionals

Stay up late again!!! With results like this, you must get a big mug of coffee and forget sleep! LOL
(Looks pretty close to the sketch too, from where I'm standing Kiddo)! xxxx

It's amazing to me that when we see the results of your card, my impression is not one of "wow, she really struggled with that", instead it's "WOW she really KNEW what she was doing with this one!". Not being behind the scenes, we don't see any strife, or failed attempts at a card, we just see magnificentosity (made that up, can you tell?) I think it turned out splendidly! Now go get a cuppa joe and make me another one...and that's an order! LOL...have a great day, my sweet friend...

Sorry to hear you struggled so much with this one, but it certainly doesn't look that way! I love the "license" you took with the ribbon wrapped around the corner, it really balances the design well. Such a fun color combo, too!

Very pretty, Marisa. Great use of those nesties and punches. I finally learned to quit staying up late working on cards...got my sleep pattern all out of whack.

You ended up with a beautiful card and would never have guessed it gave you grief - lol! My card using that sketch turned out to be a flop IMO - maybe that challenge was jinxed. :-)

How striking! the red and green are so vibrant against the white and the pops of black just set it all off! Awesome card!
Now don't stay up so late...hehe..I'm one to talk. I don't stay up late but rather have insomnia most nights and lay there thinking of cards to create!

This card looks effortless, but I can empathise with your frustration, we all struggle at times, the lacy ovals look beautiful! :)
