Flutterby Smile

Diva Amy's sketches always challenge me to get out of my comfort zone, and this one is no different.  The "string" element had me scratching my head for  bit until I settled on what I would use.

I played around with some paper, added a pop of red for some punch and used 1/4" white satin ribbon for the "string" element.  I'm up to date with the sketches this month and it feels good :)

I must admit, I'm missing swimming laps at the pool, not to mention being in the water with the warm temperatures we've been having.  May have to take the kids to the beach so we can keep cool by swimming in the ocean, which is definitely not as warm as the pool, and therefore almost too refreshing  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a fabulous day.

Eek! I love how that butterfly is fluttering off of the circle! So pretty! Love that little pop of red, too. So daring (I think I would have been scared to do that. So kudos to you!).

Oh, how I wish I had a pool to go swimming in during the summer. We had one when I was little and we literally lived in that pool. My sister and I were frequently called "fish." LOL

I have definitely discovered inspired reads! LOVE that site! That's where I got "Paper Roses" from. I have an ipad with a kindle ap that I use for a lot of reading. I actually finished "Paper Roses" a while ago and have read a few books since then... Guess I should update! I just read so much and so quickly during the summer, it's hard to keep up on my blog. I finished "A Time to Love" by Barbara Cameron (also snagged for free thanks to inspired reads). The sequel "A Time to Heal" was free, also, a few days ago. If you haven't snagged these, GO! The first one was really good!
