Mojo Monday #404

 photo Mojo404pic.jpg

It's tall and skinny week over on the Mojo Monday blog and a chance for us to use this fabulous sketch by Julee.

I'm trying to make a focused effort at using patterned paper I have purchased before buying more and as I dug through my stash I found these wonderful The Sweetest Thing papers by My Mind's Eye.

Coordinated them with this wonderfully bold "dream big" sentiment from Sparkly Dreams, the butterfly from Die Sidekicks and the leaves are the Sprightly Springs die.

All the challenge details are over on the Mojo Monday blog and you can also view all the wonderful Mojo Makers samples.  Should you wish more details on the Mojo Maker's cards, you can also visit their individual blogs noted below.

We are cooking to death out here on the West Coast due to a brutal heal wave.   Temperatures have been in the mid 80s plus for three days and predicted to be so for the rest of the week.  Not fun when you don't have AC! We usually get a few hot days over the summer but last year and this year it is turning into a week plus at a time and happening for more than one week in teh summer.  Makes me thankful for the days I get to go to work as we have AC there LOL!

We have also set an all time record for lowest rainfall in May and are most likely going to set an other one for June.  So sad that much of our province is experiencing forest fires so early in the summer, and from the forecast, it is only gonig to continue through the summer.   Fingers crossed we get a nice big rainfall some time soon!

Have a fabulous day and hope your part of the world is cooler than ours!

This is beautiful Marisa! These papers are so pretty along with the butterfly and bling! I don't normally find myself saying this, but, hope it rains for you real soon! :-)

Marisa, I've always loved the way you layer your cards with black or white...it sure makes the sentiments and main images pop!

This is so pretty, Marisa. Can't imagine living somewhere without AC. It's the first amenity I look into when picking a hotel. :) Too many way too hot, sticky summers as a child using fans and open windows that made my allergies go crazy. Hope it cools off for you.

No AC? 80s would be tough then! We hit 100 recently and it was bad even with AC! Had to run from office or house to the car and hope I didn't melt. Your card is beautiful - great mix of a bunch of fun colors and papers. So well put together and positive. Hugz

Classy and feminine, Marisa! Again, your pairing of papers delights, and the butterfly...how I adore it! We've been having scorcher days here, too - except that right now, we have crazy wind and the clouds are rolling in. We're off to a bike race just north of Calgary tomorrow - my husband is racing and I'm officiating - hopefully, the "breezes" will have abated by then!
