Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #37

I love Mercy's sketches and haven't been able to do many of them this summer so I stayed up late last night to get it done. I am actually trying to get to bed earlier and get up earlier so the first day of school isn't' a shock to the system but it just doesn't seem to be happening.....oh well, I had a good time with this sketch and am happy with the outcome.

In keeping with challenging myself to use more DP on cards, I pulled out a Costco DP pack I got a few years ago and came across this paper. I love Black and cream and tan together and though it isn't a "butterfly colour" per say, I think it worked out wonderfully. This Martha Stewart butterfly punch is lovely and I added some pearls to the bodies for some dimension. I felt it needed a little more so I finished things off by piercing the four corners and adding the black daisy flower in the corner.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

What's In It?

Stamps: Savvy

Paper: Tan, Black, Cream Linen, Costco DP pack

Ink: Black

Accessories: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, half pearls, paper piercer, daisy punch from Mike's dimensionals
