Early Happy Birthday Son
I have been so busy with school activities that I almost forgot about this months SFYTT. That being said, I decided to use it to make my son's birthday card. His birthday isn't until August, but I figured I would get it done early so I have it on hand.
Another piece of my Costco DP pack was the starting point of this card. Pulled the colours from there and used my Label 4 Nesties in lieu of the circle. I crimped the focal panel for some texture -- it's not striped like it looks in the picture! Have absolutely no idea how that happened?
I just noticed I messed up on the numbers....there is a definite grain texture to the blue paper I used and one number has it one going horizontally and the other number has it going vertically - ugh! Thankfully, my typical little boy won't notice this in the least - at least I hope not LOL!
Thanks for visiting today!
What's In It?

Accessories: Sizzex Star Die, Labels 4 Nestie, 1/4" Brocade Blue Grosgrain Ribbon,Crimper, PTI Number Dies, Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Button, Twine, Glue Dots, Half Pearls, Dimensionals

Awesome card, Marisa! Love the bright, bold and fun colors!
Marisa, this is terrific! Great colors and patterns! I love the crimped frame and I have my eyes on those numbers! Awesome card!
Marisa, I love this!!! The texture is fabulous & the crispness is so you :) My middle one has an August b-day (6th), as do I (7th) :)
He will love this wonderful card. It seems like time goes so fast. My son will be 10 in August. Great colors for a boy..
What a super fun birthday card, Marisa! The colors are absolutely fantastic...so kid/boy appopriate and the star and ribbon are perfect! And if your son is anything like mine (he's 13) he can't find a sock that is sitting on the floor right in front of him, so I don't think he's going to notice the shift in pattern on the 11. I'm just sayin'...
How very cool for a boy! Love those big numbers. I think you have a ghost in your craft room adding stripes and messing with your numbers.EEK! Just the same, the card is fab.
Fabulous!! I wouldn't have noticed the difference in the numbers if you hadn't pointed it out, lol!! xx
Awesome card!

What a sweet happy birthday card! Great colors.....and oh how I wish my son were 11 :)
I love the colors, the layout and the numbers with the grain going different ways! After all, 11 year old boys go in different directions from one minute to the next!
*I* didn't even notice the different grains on the numbers, 'till I read your description. It doesn't matter, you're only human, and a wonderful one at that!
