A Verve Noel
When I first saw this sketch I was a little leery due to all the layers, but once I started working with it things fell into place. My starting point was some delicious Kaiser Craft Winter Wonderland paper, which unfortunately is mostly covered up.
I used Labels 17 nesties for the two side panel shapes and the doily is a PTI die. The snowflake is embossed in bronze and hand cut (yes, the newly released dies to fit this snowflake are on my wish list!), and since I don't own burgundy buttons or half pearls, I had to use dark red ones instead...but I think they passed as the burgundy paper is more towards the red side - phew!
Now that I'm working for hubby again, I'm coveting any craft time I can get :) Mind you I can't complain too loudly (just quietly to all of you lol) as I get to work from home which saves me driving time etc. and allows an easy transition to the after school kids. Love the fact we can work together as a team and since my parents did so for about 40 years, I guess it is in my blood :)
Have a fabulous day and thank you for stopping in today (((hugs))).

Thanks for the tip using the Nesties labels for the background - I'd never thought of doing that... I learn something new every day!
Thanks for sharing a bit of your precious time with us!
I think it's nice that you can work with hubby and from home. That's a great deal!

Love all the wonderful details and elements on this bright and beautiful creation. What eye candy! :)
Marisa, this is stunning. I love the white embossed background, and that doily is so gorgeous. Now I'm coveting again, you are the reason I bought the scallop circles, now I may have to get this one :) This card is just perfectly elegant, I love it.
I'm so happy to hear you are enjoying working with your hubby, and that it is all working well. I hope it all goes smoothly for you and you still manage to get in that creative time. I know how it can be when you can't fit that in. A woman needs her crafting time :)
You take care.
Xx
Seriously beautiful, Marisa! I shy away from this many layers, but you have done them perfectly. Love the embossed snowflakes, especially.
Wow, Marisa!!! I must say that sketch looks a tad difficult for me but you've absolutely 'nailed it'!! Stunning card.

Behind on blogging but, loved your recent cards...SU tree was perfect!!! Hoping to stamp this weekend....haven't been in my stamp room since before the wedding/release until last nite....definite shakes!!!

To heck with Moe - I hope this is coming my way =) LOVE IT! That doily is spectacular and paired with this luscious color combo and that amazing snowflake all die cut is beauty. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that ribbon!
You be put off by layers? That is sooo funny. You are the layer queen girl. I love this beautiful card but then I love all your cards!!! You did a fantastic job on it. That ribbon really adds a lot! Glad you can still fit crafting into your schedule. I usually work 40 to 50 hours and live far away from work so I totally know what you mean about coveting my crafting time. Hugz!
Marisa, this is stunning!!!! I think you are creating your own Diva dust now :). Beautiful work!
