Creating For Fun With Annabelle

This Annabelle Stamps sketch was a fun one to work with so decided to play along this week.  I combined it with this week's CR84FN challenge as I just loved the colour combination of kraft, yellow and grey.

My starting point was this wonderful Paper Salon striped paper.  Love both sides of this paper as the flip side is lavender.  Think I need to pick up a few more sheets next time I'm at  my LSS - hoping they still have some!

A pretty straight forward card with lots of things I love on it:  my new heart circle nesties (thanks again Tanis!), scallops and Verve's flutterby and charming oval dies.  Quick and easy with some black accents to finish things off.  However, now that I look at the picture, I'm thinking the addition of some embossing to the circle element would have been a good idea - may have to go back and try it to see if I like it.  Darn hindsight....maybe I should just make it common practice to take a picture of my card, look at it, and then decided if I need to add/change anything before I post it.  Welcome to my creative woes LOL!

Just realized the kids have their two week Spring Break starting March 12th (unless the teachers go on strike before then).  Lost a week in there somewhere as I thought I still had two weeks to go.  That flu bug really messed me up!  Time to start planning some activities and outings along with some spring cleaning the kids can help with, which I'm sure they will be just thrilled to help with - NOT! (insert evil mommy grin lol).

Have a great day!

I have really enjoyed catching up with your beautiful creations, Marisa. I wish I had time to comment on each one separately. I love the St. Patrick's day cards, the baby cards and this beauty. There's always so much inspiration on your blog.

I love your idea of the cheap labor, i.e. putting the kids to work during their break! LOL

What a pretty card, Marisa! That layout is neat, and the elements you put together are beautiful. I think that embossing idea would be wonderful!

So clean and pretty, Marisa! This is a fab color combo, and that combined with your sweet little butterfly has me wishing for spring. Sadly, we're in the midst of a snowstorm and expected to get around 10 inches. Boo! I guess I can't complain with the mild winter we've had so far.
Enjoy your time to yourself before your kids are home on break! I accomplished exactly nothing during winter break last week, but sometimes that's nice too!

This is just too wild! I was looking at an online catalog last night and noticed a line of fabric for totes and bags that used a print with yellow and gray and I thought it might work for a card combo and darn, if you didn't use it on your card! LOVE the look! Those butterflies are procreating freely in your craft room...I spy another pretty one! :-)

such an elegant card :) You are working that flutterby die hard before spring :) LOL It warmed up quite a bit today and helped melt the snow a bit :) Rest assured teachers don't want to go on strike, but we feel we have no other choice...I hope you and your parent friends are writing to your MLAs about them striping our contract and cutting away at our children's education. It's a sad day in BC :(

HI Marisa! Congrats on winning over at Annabelle with this gorgeous card! I love those colors!

We do not have a Costco nearby so I haven't gotten any of the protein bars. I'm doing well with my "plan" and sticking to it! We leave for vacation in 2 weeks!
