This week's Just Us Girls challenge is hosted by yours truly :) It's my first kick at the can as a hostess and I have selected this wonderful boy's room as your inspiration picture. I loved the colour combination in this picture and the pendants. I hope it inspires you as well! Just click on the picture to enlarge it if you have trouble seeing it.
I tripped across a new challenge blog called Fab Fridays and decided to use the sketch for my card. I kept to the colour scheme, added a pendant banner by cutting up the new pennant trim die by Verve and used a mini alphabet set I got in the Michael's $1.50 bin a few years ago to add the letters to the banner. Emery is paper pieced and looks like he has chicken pox, but no other paper would work for me so I stuck with this one. A few buttons and stars finished things off.The rest of the Design Team has some great samples to get your inspiration going. Marisa I love this baby boy card. Wonderful colour combo and this looks so crisp and clean. The banner is perfect. I like the paper pieced "Emery" and didn't think it look like chicken pox when I first saw him......just thought he looked cute;)
congrats on your first hosting post! Isn't that border die fun!? As cute as little Emery is, I think he needs his chicken pox vaccination! lol He's had several pouts of it in blogland. Reminds me how much the little ones love their stuffies :) We are having a HOT day here again but they say it will change next week.

Love this darling card, Marisa! It is spot-on perfect from the inspiration photo and I adore that banner! The spotted ellie reminds me of the one from the island of misfit toys in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer...and he is just as sweet! Hope your Sunday was great! ((hugs))

I just love polka dotted elephants, and the banner is so crisp tied with the perfect chocolate bows, stars and button my mouth cute.
