A Butterfly for OCC

Just loved this OCC Sketch so decided to use it as the foundation for this card. I omitted the ribbon and sentiment, but the rest of the layout holds true. SU's butterfly die immediately came to mind (love that die!!) when I saw this sketch so off to work I went.

The polka dotted DP was a perfect pair with black and white, one of my favorite go to colour combinations.  I had planned on using a white button on my butterfly but much to my dismay, found that I am all out!! Needless to say, that will have to be remedied very quickly!!  As a result, I had to settle for the pearls instead.  Some sheer black ribbon tied everything together (no pun intended LOL!)  and I was good to go.

Felt great to make a card in the midst of a busy week, even if there is no stamping on it LOL!  I'll be back on Sunday with my Curtain Call card if I don't get a chance to post before then.  Thanks for putting up with my crazy, summer posting schedule....it seems to be feast or famine LOL!  Have a fabulous day and thanks for sharing a piece of yours with me today (((hugs))).

What's In It?
Paper:  Making Memories DP, Black, Pretty in PInk, White
Accessories:  Martha Stewart Border Punch, Floral Fantasy Embossing Folder, SU Sizzex Butterfly Die, Half Pearls, 5/8" Sheer Black Ribbon

oh, you can't go wrong with sheer ribbon and pearls...yummy treat first thing this morning :) We are back to sunny skies today :) It feels so good to have the computer back...I really am a little too attached to it (eek!). But it's my entertainment and I love it!! lol. Ran out of buttons? That was probably the one colour I didn't put in that little bag....sorry!!! Did you order any from PTI? When do you get your order? I'll get mine this weekend as we head to Bellevue for my brother's birthday...between me and 2 friends here we had a 10 lb box!! It will be like Christmas :)

What a beautiful card, Marisa!! I love that sketch, too. You did a wonderful job with it!! Feast or famine is completely understandable. So glad you got a little "me" time in to make this--even if there *was* no stamping LOL!!! Take care :)

That sheer ribbon is stunning! You're always so perfect with your butterflies and embossing - and those wonderful pearls for the body...love it!
Did you seriously say you're out of buttons?! How does that happen?! Because you've used them all up to their utmost potential, that's how!

Thanks Marissa for leaving your comment on my blog. We do have the butterflies in common as I can see from your blog site and the card you have posted today. Comments do provide encouragement.
