Java Joy

Verve

Well, I have finally come to the end of my Guest Diva cards.  Appropriately, I am typing up this post while enjoying a Grande Non-Fat Decaf Latte from Starbucks :)  Loooove lattes and this fabulous Better With You set by Verve is a perfect set for creating and sending any coffee or tea lover you know a card.  It is full of wonderful coffee and tea images and has great coordinating sentiments.

I created the background by stamping the Java image multiple times and embossing it with clear EP so it was a bit more prominent.  Then I had fun distressing the edges and using some fun Stella Rose DPs and half pearls to finish things off.

It's hard to believe we are into the last week of summer!  This summer just flew by and we have many wonderful memories to reminisce about for years to come - what more can you ask for :)  Hope your summer was just as enjoyable and you are able to squeeze in one last summer BBQ or quick get away before the Labour Day weekend is over.

Stamps: Better With You (Verve)
Paper: Stella Rose Gerttie and Hattie (My Mind's Eye), Kraft and Early Espresso (Stampin' Up!), Cream Linen
Ink: Basic Black (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder (Micheal's), Paper Distressing Tool (Stampin' Up!), 5/8" Brown Satin Ribbon (Michael's), Twinkling H2Os, Half Pearls (Michael's), Button, Glue Dot, Twine, Dimensionals

I have really enjoyed seeing your creations with this set! I might have to get it myself just to make cards for my hubby. Love the coffee-like hues you chose for this card and the distressed edges!

Love the distressing around the edges, so NOT you, but I LOVE it... a slight departure from your usual, delightful clean style...it works really well on this card! Keep stretching those creative wings my sweet...that Diva Dust is some powerful stuff! Have a wonderful Sunday...just 2 more days 'til the crafting bug welcomes you with open arms!! :)

I'm really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays.
