More Maple Leaves

I was able to embrace the skewed panel on this sketch quite easily as there was only one :)  Could I actually be okay with these now....oh my!!!   I think I have redeemed myself with this card after my last post....gotta show the good the bad and the ugly sometimes :)

When I saw the tag, a maple leaf came to mind so I jumped at the chance to make another Fall card using my maple leaf die :)   Just can't put these PTI dies and matching stamp set down.  I love leaf images and these dies are amazing so this is the season to to have them "fall" onto my cards LOL!

Loved this DP I found at Michael's and combined it with some Bo Bunny polka dots.  The ribbon is "a la Diva Maureen", and then I went a little button crazy in my attempt to add a bit of "oomph" and balance to the card.

High school traumas are still occuring for my daughter...her French class was collapsed (too many scheduled apparently?!) so she and the rest of her class had to get their class schedules changed....she's been stood up for lunch, and worst of all her closest friend from elementary school, who she was supposed to have lunch with on her birthday, didn't show up.  Ended up that she was let out of class late and after waiting 10 minutes for her my daughter left the cafeteria so they missed each other.  Many tears and talks later, I think we have her put back together.   Onward and upward we go!

Oh my word, what a gorgeous card Marisa! I have to be honest and say that those sketches scare me,lol, but you make them look so easy! Love your take on it and my favourite colours for this time of year.

I remember the agonies your daughter is going through so well. It's a horrible time when you are shy and unsure of yourself. She has a great Mum! xxx

Such a lovely card. I love all the colors and layers. Some how you have made all the layers look so clean. Is there such a thing as a CAS layers card? Am I even making any sense?

This is perfectly layered, Marisa. I haven't busted out these leaves for a while, so that needs to go on my to-do list. I love the different colored buttons, too.
Sorry to hear your daughter is still having some growing pains in high school. I hope she's able to settle into a routine and enjoy herself soon!

what a lovely fall card!! I hope this isn't a conspiracy to try and make me love fall! Actually, I do love the colours and the leaves changing, just not the cooler weather (which we haven't had yet) or the next season, winter! I'm definitely a fair weather gal. Glad the dd has recovered from last week...hopefully those friendships start up!!

LOVE what you've done with this sketch Marisa!! I especially love the colors and fun fun corrugated panel!! Your leaf and buttons are the perfect addition! Me thinks you're getting a little more "skewed". You've got the tilt skills now. :) So glad the lunch thing was a "tardy" issue. Hope this next week is a happy one!

Marisa, I think I need those dies and stamps now....lol...thanks for enabling! Love the fall theme! Perfect for this time of year.

Sorry your daughter is having so many problems with school life. Just doesn't seem right to be making changes now....a couple of weeks in? Hope now that she's settled again, there aren't any more.

Not that you needed to redeem yourself from that last post (I loved it)but this is truly a beauty. The sketch and colors are just awesome. Way to go, Marisa!

Oh, the trials of our children..they do cause us so much grief. But, I'm sure it is going to only get better.

Girl... I must have missed the redeeming thing?!?! Love this card and you conquered that corner flag thing which stumped the heck out of me!! OMG.... Not her b-day lunch!!! I work with a woman that is near and dear to my heart and she would say....everything's going to be okay even though you wonder some days!!

Oh my - I know I for one would not go back to my high school days for anything. Poor girl!!

Loving this card - that maple leaf is exquisite and your take on the sketch is phenomenal. I'm a little frightened by it. LOL I do love your card, though, so maybe I'll take some inspiration =) Gorgeous colors and combination of paper, stamps, buttons and punches!

Ahh, sketch perfection even WITH a SKEWED panel...your defense is weakening Maris-..haha...nobody believes the "no-can-do-sketch-panel" theory anymore...especially when you dump a beauty like this in our laps! Haha!! The colors are gorgeous...perfect for Fall. Keep stretching those creative boundaries, my dear, and there will be NOTHING you can't do! ♥♥
