Polka Dots and Shamrocks

2012 faves

This week's Mojo Monday sketch didn't make Marisa very happy....grrrr!!!  I am actually fairly comfortable with one skewed panel on a sketch (fairly being the operative word), but when there are two skewed panels on a sketch I go into a tail spin.

This sketch is also testing my blogging relationship with its creator, Debbie.  Lucky for her/me/us I love Verve too much too pass up an opportunity to win some, otherwise, I'm sure I would have passed on it.  So, this one is for you Debbie!  I'll send you the psych bill later LOL!

Took the opportunity to ink up my new Verve set Lucky You and make a St. Patrick's Day card.  Bonus is the fact I looove the colour green and have several Irish friends this card can be sent to.  Not expecting the set to bring me winning luck, but stranger things have happened!

Off to go watch my son's soccer game and then home to have a relaxing rest to the day in an attempt to get us all healthy again.

What's In It?
Stamps: Lucky You (Verve)
Paper: Dots and Stripes (Echo Park),  Happy Go Lucky (Pebbles ), Wild Wassabi, Black
Ink: Black, VersaMark
Accessories: Labels 18 Nestie, Marvy Heart Punch, Ribbon, Button, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Being a green lover myself, I am in love with your card. The greens are so bright and vivid - makes me want to make a St. Patricks day card and I have never made one before. I think you did a fab job with the sketch - if you hadn't said anything, I would have thought it was the easiest thing in the world for you. Winning material in my book. Hope you are not all sick and that your comment about healthy was just part of your continued plan to eat better. Hugz!

It is obvious that you love green and it loves you - this is fabulous. Wonderful job with the sketch - I don't believe a word of what you said - there is no way you had any trouble with this - it looks way too good! LOL! Hugz!!!!

Marisa, I saw this on SCS and had to get over and comment. My hubby was standing by the computer and I showed him your card...you know, he's Irish. Could you have ever guessed by my last name? Ha

This is really a beauty and those panels are just perfect. But, since you don't like skewed panels, maybe this card will bring you luck and you won't have to do them again.

Hope you're all better soon.

You did a fabulous job with the skewed panels, despite any frustration they may have caused. I love the two shades of green together and the stamped shamrocks on the bottom panel, but the black accents really pull it all together!

LMBO!!! I just saw your comment and it made me grin :) Love this!!! The greens are fantastic as is the sweet shamrock!! I think we can give you a reprieve from the skewed panels for the next couple weeks ;)

You knew the "no skewed panels" thing had to come to an end eventually, right?! And you ROCKED those panels! I love the two different sizes of polka dotted dp and the pops of green. It's a fabulous card!

Here's hoping you had a wonderful day with you family and are feeling so much better.

What are you talking about?! You rocked this sketch like the skewed panel master that you've become! Gorgeous - and I suspect Moe's hoping to find it in her mailbox next month =)

I love this layout. It is really awesome. I am getting ready to try my hand at crocheting some shamrocks. I think I like the stamped ones better. Great job on this card.
